Jordan Riley Beast Mode. We should have two of the best wings in the nation this year. When was the last time we had even one of the best wings in the nation. Otto and Greg W had some nice potential together. Too late now, but I wished to see more of those two together. So if it is to be that will be great.

I watch these pages consistently and only see snippets about one or two players. I wish we heard more cursory evaluative assessments about all of the team, individually, from someone outside of the coaches. If there was Kenner we could have made our own assessments. Coaches may have more to say, or not, prior to the season.
I am optimistic about our team and holding my breath about Malcolm Wilson. I believe he has great potential and want to see him breakout. It's time!!

Jordan posted another sick dunk on the IG story. Looks like a reverse 360ish windmill

Unanimous, from the team, Jordan Riley has the best hops.

I can’t wait to watch him in Blue & Gray. I think he will surprise many. Just love his reaction - "yeah, um, that's me." Just the right attitude. Kid is going to rock some rims for us and I can't wait to see it either.

When Jordan is in the NBA slam dunk contest, I think Coach crouch is going be there to do the alleys. The Coach crouch pass for a windmill off making a 3pointer lol that just was posted, I wonder how many takes for that.

I think I can speak for Hoyas fans everywhere that we are hoping for a good surgery and a speedy recovery for Riley! I for one was impressed as hell by Riley a few times and his potential is through the roof. Can’t wait to get him back with full physical ability and stronger than ever whenever that is! Appreciate him playing through it for a bit before recognizing that surgery was needed - the kid seems to have a dawg mentality so gotta be tough for him to be away from the court. In the off chance he ever sees this thread just wanted to get some appreciation and well wishes started.

Coming into this season I was most excited to see Riley play more than other freshmen, maybe more than anyone else on the team.

Is he still eligible for a medical redshirt this year?

Usually less than a 1/3 of the season should be eligible to red shirt. Did not play last game and we are 6-4. So as long as they play 27 games, he should be eligible for a medical redshirt. Historically GU does not usually apply a redshirt unless we want him to play a 5th (6th?)year when he is a senior! Not sure how that will work with the COVID eligibility rules. Does he get an extra year even though he is a freshman in 2021-2022 not 2020-2021?

How do you see Jordan sharing playing time? He'll be a sophomore. Same with Beard, and Aminu. Dante a junior. Anglin a frosh. Someone has posted that Carey could stay for another year -- is that right? The official GU Men's basketball site says he's Class of '22. Behind all of this is a creeping fear that if Jordan isn't seeing significant PT, he may be looking elsewhere after next year.

I hope Jordan gets well. He has not looked like he can help us much this year - needs to develop as a player - not there yet.
I think Carey has the bonus year next year if he wants it. Hopefully, he does.

Terrible assumption on Mo - you’d have to be willfully not paying attention to assume he’ll be here next year. Carey would be unwise to come back next year also. He’s not making the NBA and he’s not getting any younger. Every year he delays making money playing basketball overseas is a year he won’t get back. He’s too smart not to take advantage of that earning power while he has it.
