I was looking at the schedule that III has put together. Since this is his first schedule I think that there are some things that we can take as indicative of future schedules.
1) III is a believer in RPI meaning we will be playing power conference schools and mid-majors in the OOC.
2) III's Princeton teams (and the '05-'06 Hoyas) played in a good number of mid-season and pre-season tournaments. We can expect more tournaments like the Sun Bowl, Alaskan Shoot Out, etc.
3) I think III also schedules to the team that he has. This year's team is extra-ordinarily strong - may be 8 or 9 men deep with most of last years production in points, assists, rebounds, and steals coming back for this season - so he is willing to take the team anywhere and play anyone during the OOC. This sets up nicely for next year when he will have a very good core left over from this year (Roy, Green, Wallace, Crawford, Sapp, Egerson, and Thorton - along with Rivers and Summers) - that is however a young team that could benefit from having games at home - and it will have them at home: Navy, JMU, Oregon, Michigan, and one more Big 10 team. That's a pretty home-heavy OOC - with only a road trip to Duke on the schedule. Not a bad schedule for a younger team with a lot of talent.

Very astute observavations. I was thinking the same thing.
This is a man who is not afraid of anyone. I like that in a coach- he tends to instill it into his players.
Now if Frank Robinson could also do the same for the reeling Nats, my sports world could be hunky-dory.

Ah, nothing like being home and catching the Braves-Nats game at Turner and seeing Ayala beam Giles and then throw 4 straight balls. Looks like my home town team is the one to beat again in the East. I do hope the Nats get the Wild Card though (my adopted team of sorts).

Just another note on the schedule:
Based on last year by the numbers our opponent RPIs are as follows:
Navy - 304 JMU - 305 Oregon - 81 Colgate - 238 UTEP - 33 Illisnois - 2 Michigan - 157 Duke - 4 Fairfield - 178 Cincy - 24 UCONN - 13 Depaul - 53 Marquette - 88 Notre Dame - 73 Pitt - 36 Providence - 93 Rutgers - 144 St. Johns (x2) - 165 South Florida (x 2) - 170 Syracuse - 20 Nova - 15 West Virginia (x2) - 34
To do a little math here. Our over all average opponent RPI is: 112.96
Our average home opponent RPI so far is: 86.8
Our away or neutral court opponent RPI so far is: 115.4
Those are all very good numbers in terms of what it says about our strength of schedule.
