I have been watching some old game footage including some heartbreakers. Here are some injuries that cost Georgetown dearly over the years: please add more these are just a few.
1) Ralph Dalton: horrific knee injury cost him most of his mobility. Still a key cog if Ralph, who before injury was an excellent athlete, was highly mobile & had some bounce we can only imagine if he could have changed a few more key games,
2) Charles Smith: was dealing with an ankle injury in regional final versus Duke in 1989. Believe he still scored 19 but wasn’t at full speed. Just a disgusting game.
3) Jonathan Edwards: year1 AP (after Patrick) Edwards was 6’9” physical, active, loved to dunk and offered some rim protection. Has back injury & basically was a drifter that would show up every blue moon for a few minutes in random games. If Edwards had been fully healthy he could have been a great bodyguard for the team’s stars...
4) Michael Tate-Venson: high school scoring machine that was explosive around the hoop at 6’6” and very highly rated. Pretty sure He was McDonald’s AA. His knee injury was misdiagnosed prior to arriving at Georgetown. Lacking his previous quickness and explosion he played sparingly and transferred after one year. Tate-Venson, if healthy, would have been the perimeter Alonzo/Dikembe teams always needed.
Stay healthy!

Zo’s foot.
Came down on a Duke player in the ACC/BE challenge and was not right the rest of the year.

Chris Wright's broken hand against Cincinnati in Februsry 2011 weeks before the NCAAs.
Austin Freeman's diabetes diagnosis 2010(?).
For the oldtimers, Derrick Jackson's ulcer prior to the NIT game against Dayton on 1978.

I think Smitty was battling the flu during the Duke game. He played very little against N.C. State in the sweet 16.

Anthony Jones’ elbow injury
He never quite recovered his sophomore year which surely led to his dissatisfaction and desire to move on.
He was a star in the making before he got hurt.

More recent but I'm going to go with Moseley's shoulder injuries. If those would have never happened his shot would have continued to develop. May not have been a star but if you add a consistent shot with the confidence behind it to Moseley's game and he would be All-BE.
