What do you mean by this? What does 2020 have to do with the amount of tools a team has? More tools available than their when this system, for lack of a better term, was put in place. Significantly more. It's so much easier to get information on players than it was even 10 years ago. It's not even a waste of time for anyone at this point. Plus, this wasn't the first time Xavier played the Hoyas. Same for Creighton. They have a system in place for everyone. They can easily develop a scouting report on someone. Okay but game planning and game preparation arent about the accumulation of into or the unearthing of hidden qualities, it’s about being able to anticipate which combinations and which style your team will face. Maybe I’m misunderstanding but increased transparency doesn’t really do much on that front short of securing opponents’ game plans and plays....in pretty sure coaches still guard that information tightly, particularly in the face of increased press access. And clearly Xavier tripped up in what they anticipated our game plan was, do we have to notify them that it’s 2020 too? The post you responded to can actually suffice as some type of evidence that the important info is still closely guarded. Not to mention that there has always been the possibility, and I’d argue even more these days with poor “reporting”, that the information out there may not always be accurate.

Any news on yurtseven I know Mac out with the boot and not practicing what about yurtseven any news? Xavier prepared for Mac to play and Ewing said after the game both Mac and Yurt were getting better but had no timetable for a return. Did Xavier have some info that both (maybe one or the other) were close to returning or were they just preparing for any scenario? If they had info we don't maybe one of them plays tonight, otherwise maybe our policy of not giving out any injury info at least caused their staff to work a few extra hours?! It was coach speak to make it seem like his team did this great job of overcoming all things possible to get the tough win on the road bla, bla, bla. If they really thought that especially Mac or even Yurt was playing they should fire their advanced scouting department.

I don’t think you understand how quick some of these game planning tendencies can be disrupted. Real question and not shade, but have you actually been a part of NCAA game planning in the past? Are you speaking from experience? Not that you’re the originator of the argument, but you can’t have it both ways. Either it’s coach speak or teams and their game plans are more transparent than ever...

GAMEDAY!
Not as excited for today since the watching options are limited, the team is limited, and post season chances are limited. I'll still be following the box score and hope the guys come out hot and keep it going. The guys have the heart and enough skills to make it a game, the question is if they will. Based on Pat's coaching and motivation, I think this game will be closer then many think. Just fight for the ball, take shots when you have them, and rebound (especially against Creighton).
Go Hoyas

What is FSN? I assume this stand for fox sports network but I can't find on my streaming service list of channels, which is usually pretty comprehensive. Anyone know about viewing options?

Can we address the elephant in the room, or should I say, the center on the bench? How really injured is Yurt7...day to day has become weeks to weeks. Jagan is playing nearly 40 minutes a game, all taped and pasted together, clearly playing with injuries. Allen, Blair and Pickett also putting in many extra minutes. I welcome some feedback on this issue.

I welcome some feedback on this issue. Nobody on this board will be able to answer you. Injuries are fluid. At the time of the injury I thought he might be immediately done for the reason based on the fact that it was a high ankle sprain and his lower leg basically bent 90 degrees. No need to buy into the negative “hype” around here than he’s playing for a professional paycheck, even comments made by so called insider B&G just reek of sour grapes. Akin to Goodman hating because of lack of access. I might presume that Omer’s camp is keeping things close to the vest, but for someone who risked an injury during a whole year of practice I doubt he’s avoiding his return to the court cause he’s over the season. Not only is the goal to rejoin the team, but to also be healthy enough to actually contribute positively.

Why bring Mac and Yurt on road games when they could be resting and rehabbing back on campus?

Why bring Mac and Yurt on road games when they could be resting and rehabbing back on campus? It's not the NBA, brother...they're part of the team and should be there to support their teammates.

When is the last game we haven’t started shooting horribly to start a game? Butler? 5 straight hideous starts on offense. Just no weapons unfortunately.
