One good thing about the Esh era was that it ushered in a new phase in which the Hoyas would play home-and-home with other teams not named DePaul. As a result we as fans got to see the Hoyas play in arenas that Gtown had either never played in before or rarely played in. I know the_way is going to hate me for this but seeing the Hoyas take the court at Cameron Indoor Stadium was surreal. As was the time they played at Pauley Pavilion. During this time we have seen Gtown play away games at: South Carolina Louisville Duke Virginia UCLA Temple Penn State UNLV This season we will add to the list: Illinois Michigan (will be another surreal moment for me) Oregon So what are the other places you guys would love to see Gtown go to. For me it would be the Dean Dome (UNC), Kansas, Indiana and Arizona.

I’d love for us to take on the Bobby Bowden philosophy of, “Anyone…Anywhere…”
But I don’t think we should go to the extremes of Temple and John Cheney…
Definitely would like us to get a “home & home” series with 3 perennial top 20 teams…I think that would be a good marketing tool when trying to sell the program to recruits…
My 3…
Memphis Kentucky Texas

And we played Cal and Tennessee on their home courts during the post season NIT too. I'm limiting it though to regular season games that are part of a home-and-home package.

3 places to play that would be unreal
Rupp Arena The Pyramid East Lansing
Best of all would be UNC and that stupid Carolina blue get thrashed at McDonough.

Um yes no Rupp - ever - I don't care who we play there. Games I would like to see (taking my own regional biases into acount):
Kansas Texas UCLA

I'd like to see the following:
1. UMD - They won't let us kick their butts in our gym, so why don't we do it in theirs?
2. Vandy
3. Wake Forest

A visit to the Palestra might be a nice novelty trip.
I'd most like to see us visit Flint or wherever Michigan St. hosts their arena and embarass Izzo.

Michigan St. Kansas Stanford UCLA (but only for reasons of personal interest, since we've already done that). Texas Wake NC State Texas Tech (so long as Knight is there) BC -oh, wait, scratch that last one. ;D

I said Maples for purely selfish reasons, but I'd love to get to a place (where we seem to be getting with Duke) where we play the very Elite of college bball regularly. Whether it is Duke, Kentucky, UNC, whomever, I'd like to build that rivalry.
It is great for our recruiting, and given the diverse nature of the DC population, we're a VERY attractive away game for a lot of teams. Won't kill your RPI, good to your fans in DC, decent chance of TV, etc...

I'd like to see the boys on the road at Alumni Arena on the campus of the State University of New York at Buffalo. UB was a bad tip-in away from the Dance last year, is an up-and-coming program with Reggie Witherspoon at the helm, and in a few years will be the class of the MAC. It's a game we should probably win, would have good RPI results for us, and gets us in B-Lo for the first time since... um... ever? The AA is a crazy place to play, too... wild student section, during their sick run last season I was home for a couple games and I gotta say they were a bit more intense than I remember our students being...

What is Reggie doing coaching UB. He ran the second leg (45.8s) of the 4x400m at the NCAA for Florida?

All I know is 'Spoon used to coach against ME! He was a high school coach at Sweet Home H.S. outside Buffalo, then he coached Erie Community College, and was then a mid-season replacement at UB. But he's built a solid program that will be dominating the MAC in a few years, I think. He's rumored to have the inside track on that Harris kid up at Niagara Falls H.S. who's nasty. Time will tell...
