LC, is Dante claiming he's gotten bigger? Taller and heavier? 6'0 and 170 with his quickness? As a Freshman guard? To go along with his super positive attitude? This kid could be a very interesting addition to the roster.

247 Sports listed him as 5’10” 145, on 7/23 he tweeted that he was 6’0” 162, and now he tweeted that he is now 6’0” 170.

As well they should. Update the young man. That is some serious growth spurt and work put in at the gym.

Hi Mr. Dante Harris: I am a long time fan of Georgetown Hoyas. I am very impressed with your accomplishments on and off the court! You remind me of the author that said, “be better today than yourself yesterday!” Hard work is no stranger to you!
Being specific: Your handle, Your jump shoot, Your pull up, Your speed, Your 3 point shoot, Your drives to the rim, Your passing, and above all, Your tenacity to be great!!
Young man, I hope one day this Virus subsides to a point when I can feel comfortable in shaking your hand with a firm grip inferring how proud we are to have you as a Hoya! 🤝🙏❤️

I really, really think this kid and Kobe Clark were severely underrated. Can't wait to see both suit up for the Hoyas.

Clark reminds me a lot of Myron Gardner, who the staff was bullish on before his departure. A combo/Wing type - good defensive instincts, nose for the ball. Can shoot it a little and has athleticism at the rim. And Dante to me has Markel Starks written all over him. Spot minutes as a freshman. Backup minutes as a sophomore. Team leader junior and senior year.

Dante may not have quite the complete game that Markel had as a senior yet, but he is probably faster and his game is growing; Kobe has a more well rounded game than Myron G.

Sorry if mentioned already, but apparently he's Bobby Maze's cousin.

Sorry if mentioned already, but apparently he's Bobby Maze's cousin. On the Dawg Talk podcast, Bobby Maze also mentioned that Dante Harris is originally from PG County/DC and he's lightning quick. Bobby Maze was also talking generally about how he prepares high school players in making a decision on which college to attend, and then went into detail about what about Georgetown made it the right fit for Dante Harris (things like Ewing's NBA coaching tenure and the pro style offense that benefited guards).

I havent seen enough of Clark to make a direct comparison, but I would go further back and speak the name of Eric Smith Kobe has long arms, and moves well. He's like a spider out there. Whatever his height, he's PROBABLY still growing. I like his game. Dante's game says he belongs. I look forward to seeing more of both

But I have one compliant, understandably we've had little to no practice due to Covid-19 protocol. But in my opinion he really needs to work on his entry passes, other then that everything else I seen looks the part of a starting point guard. What I was least impressed with was Jalen Harris's play, especially for a senior. He needs to make them midrange jumpers, furthermore I don't recall seen him attempt a three I sure hope he's got at least a 30% rating in his arsenal.

I agree that Dante looked the part in the limited minutes he got in game one. I think that gradually easing him into more playing time will be a great way to get him accustomed to the change in speed and size in the Big East game. In his high school highlights he always looked like a very capable outside shooter so if that can translate this year, I think he will see more minutes as the season goes along, because Jalen Harris does not seem comfortable shooting the ball. Dante seems to have a really strong handle and impressive speed/quickness. It is not surprising that he would struggle with some things, like entry passes, at this level. Passes that worked fine in high school may not work at this level but the staff can work on that with him and give him a better understanding of the positioning and angles needed to make effective entry passes. It is early but Dante seems like he may be a real find as an under the radar recruit.
