I assume that Terrance Williams has already enrolled at Michigan, so if he transferred he'd have to sit out a year. So, this is not happening.

I want players who want to be here. If that's the case what's the point in recruiting? Most of our guys are here because we were their best option. They didn't say no thanks to a bunch of big time programs because they were dying to be Hoyas.

The staff put in the work and found some talented players regardless of rankings. And Georgetown was a great option for them.

Did he even play tonight? Dont see any minutes for him. Against maryland in college park. Lol went from getting 20 minutes as a freshman as a Hoya to no playing time as a Wolverine. But best of luck to him!

But best of luck to him! If he had stuck around on this roster he’d be 30 a game, and would be a very important piece on a solid roster the subsequent two years. Meanwhile Michigan has two five stars coming in next year at his position, and ample forward talent otherwise. Already looks like he made the wrong decision.

If he had stuck around we probably don't get Billingsley. And since I never thought Williams wanted to come to the Hilltop I want the kid that wants to make GTown great again....MGGA....I LIKE IT!!!!

Would take him in a heartbeat. Why? He is a very talented player and great fit for next years team. I personally don’t think we are in a position to turn down good players if they were ever interested in us, especially if they are otherwise high character players like TWill is.

I don't care how talented he is. He didn't want to be here because he thought UM was better. I remember seeing his face when he committed to GTown. There was no love, no excitement. Just a look of "My parents are making me do this". I don't think he waited 1wk after the defections to decommit. Hard, quick PASS....

I watched last nights game. This is going to sound dumb and meaningless but...I’ll say it anyway (like always)...I was looking for him on the bench all night. He looked engaged and happy. Celebrating with all his teammates. Doesn’t mean anything but based on body language that ship has sailed.
On the other hand Hunter Dickinson is a stud! He’s the one I wish we had kept local!

It must be very difficult for any of the local schools to get these local talented players. You got the kid who plays with Iowa, you got Dickinson and all the other Dematha and Paul IV players that have come through over the years. It's sad to see that not only is Georgetown not getting these great players but it seems none of the local schools are.

Howard was in his ear for a while but there were serious communication failures re: what was going on in the program prior to the transfer wave that imo sealed the deal way more than anything Michigan was saying. At the end of the day he is a talented player who fits perfect at our glaring hole on the roster, and I believe that to win in today’s basketball landscape the whole “we only want players that want to be here” thing can be tremendously overvalued relative to having just straight up talent.

It's sad to see that not only is Georgetown not getting these great players but it seems none of the local schools are. A lot of local recruiting is about coaching relationships and Ewing and Turgeon have each been lax at these ties, or at least haven't built them to the degree that other schools have, giving Villanova, Duke, Michigan State etc. ample opportunities to sign players. Put another way, what do these names have in common? Naji Marshall, E.Roosevelt Saddiq Bey, Sidwell Friends Brandon Slater, Paul VI Chris Lykes, Gonzaga Justin Moore, DeMatha All five were on All-Met teams over the last four years and GU either lost or passed over. And in 2020, with eight open slots, Georgetown did not sign one local senior, unless you want to count Victor Muresan. High school coaches remember things like that. That said, I've been confounded for years why George Washington doesn't go after every second and third team All-Met that Georgetown and Maryland would skip over and build some local brand awareness in the process. They've got just two local kids on the 20-21 roster, a roster which has lost three players in just a week. www.midmajormadness.com/2020/12/29/22204416/george-washington-colonials-transfers-maceo-jack-jameer-nelson-jr-jamion-christian

Celebrating with all his teammates. Doesn’t mean anything but based on body language that ship has sailed. On the other hand Hunter Dickinson is a stud! He’s the one I wish we had kept local! His mindset right now is perfect... michigan.rivals.com/news/williams-has-epitomized-what-it-means-to-be-the-ultimate-team-player-“I’ll continue to play my role [Thursday night] and I’ll make the most of however many minutes I get.” Despite only averaging 9.4 minutes per game, Williams has executed his role beautifully so far this season. He has consistently provided a spark off the bench for the Maize and Blue, and is averaging an impressive 2.9 boards per game (when considering how few minutes he’s receiving), thanks in large part to his 6-7 height and endless motor. Some players sulk and pout when they don’t start or aren’t receiving a significant amount of minutes, but that hasn’t been the case with Williams. The Clinton, Md., native has fit into the Michigan culture beautifully, and understands U-M athletes are expected to play for the name on the front of their jerseys and not the back. “You can’t get into yourself, and you have to be team-oriented,” Williams stressed, when asked about coming off the bench. “[Senior guard] Chaundee [Brown] and I know our roles; we can’t go in and not do something that’s not a part of our roles.

And what was that kid's name that played the shooting guard position for Villanova a few years back, who was also from around here? I'm not talking about Booth. He was before Booth. That kid wanted to come to Georgetown and JT3, I believe, passed over him for some other kid who didn't pan out to well for us. What was the kid's name? He was just on the Lakers team a couple of years back.
