Does anyone have any intelligence on the new AD from ND / potential impact on the B-Ball program?
From a Damer on the overall ND athletic department reputation:
"The current rep of the ND athletic department is that they are top notch when it comes to developing the Olympic sports, but fools with the football department. If you want a G-town lacrosse title or a men's soccer top 15 finish you may like this guy"

this guy is supposedly a class guy... a rising star who nd people said will make a great impact on whereever he is.. hes very personable and very smart.. he will take a while to realize georgetwons uniqueness.. ie having the family thing ..and coaches being unbelievably dedicated and great work and performances with absoulutly no resources ... doing magic with gum and tape and string... a world class crosscoutry and track program with no track etc etc.. so wish him well... ill miss adam brick who knew the system..and the family and gumm and tape thing.. SEND MONEY... that will help.. and we will need lots of it to continue competing in all sports go hoyas good luck to the new ad ..and thanks to adam brick for all hes done.. go hoyas .. SEND MONEY.. beat bc oooops.. not them they are GONE THANK GOD ..AND HOPEFULLY WE WILL NEVER PLAY THEM BUT JT3 says never say never

From a Damer on the overall ND athletic department reputation: "The current rep of the ND athletic department is that they are top notch when it comes to developing the Olympic sports, but fools with the football department. If you want a G-town lacrosse title or a men's soccer top 15 finish you may like this guy" The stories of Domers complaining about ND football are legion. Some claim that the academic standards are getting too strict, or that the administration would rather focus on academic rankings than winning games. One columnist even suggested that the team's luck ran out when the stadium expansion obscured the "Touchdown Jesus" mural from view in the stadium. Whatever the causes, ND has won one national title in the last 28 years. If the Irish do not win in 2005 it will mark the longest drought between titles in school history. But the days when every Catholic school kid lined up to be the next Joe Montana just aren't there anymore, for a lot of reasons. Instead of reliving the good old days when Moose Krause was comfortably at the helm, ND fans need to understand that success in other sports does not come at the expense of their flagship sport--something that Georgetown fans hopefully understand as well. The Irish needs to commit to a path in football and build a new future for the sport there. The mixed bag of coaches assembled in the last quarter century (Faust, Holtz, Davie, O'Leary, Willingham, Weis) have set a pattern that makes ND better known for its TV contact than perennial top 10 finishes. Weis might change this trend, but it's got to start sooner rather than later.

I would be quite content with a Lax national championship. Especially if they win it in completed parts 1A through 72F of the new MSF in the shadow of the JTII Convocation Center while Jack DeGioia is busy claiming imminent domain on the homes of neighbors that complain about anything university related.

I think I read that the guy was a basketball student-athlete during his college years. I like the sound of that.

This is off topic, but what exactly does being the captain of a college sports team entail besides being a senior leader and doing stuff for your team mates off the court?

I'm sure that Georgetown compensates for those cost of living differences at least a little bit. I mean he is in a high level staff position.
