Kid looks like Kalkbrenner when he first got to Creighton. "Matt Painter has added a fifth piece to his 2024 recruiting recruiting class. This afternoon, three-star big man Daniel Jacobsen announced his commitment to Purdue. "I feel like Purdue is best place for me to not only play on a great team but also develop into a professional," Jacobsen said. "I also really like coach Painter and the rest of the staff." A 7-foot-2 big man out of Albuquerque (N.M.) Jacobsen plays his high school basketball at Brewster Academy. He chose the Boilermakers over their Big Ten foe Wisconsin." 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/article/daniel-jacobsen-brewster-purdue-commitment-219391215/

Do I correctly understand we have two scholarships remaining for the 2024 class?
Can anyone update us on the key recruits Georgetown is connected with/recruiting for those spots?
Thanks in advance if anyone is able.

Thanks in advance if anyone is able. Yeah I don't see anymore freshman being brought in. We already would have 4. Both spots will be transfers. 2025 looking like 4 spots open also not including those 2 spots.

Just read where he has announced for Michigan, which has become a bit of a home for DMV kids (Rooths started at Georgetown Prep).

"Daniil Glazkov recently made the move from his home country of Russia over to the United States to play with the IMG Academy Post Grad team. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound guard, whose father was a professional fighter in Russia, had been generating some buzz and stood out while at the Sunshine Prep Showcase... "Right now I have two offers so probably still a little bit more but I need to talk about it with my advisor," he said of his recruitment. His two offers came from Oregon State and Loyola Chicago who have both brought him on for an official visit but more high majors are keeping in contact. In addition to the Beavers and Ramblers, Glazkov said he is receiving interest from UConn, Gonzaga, Xavier, Georgetown, DePaul and UCLA but none have extended the offer." 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/article/daniil-glazkov-2024-basketball-recruiting-loyola-chicago-oregon-state--223678437/

Found more footage of him. He is a combo guard. Seems like he plays PG at 6'4 for IMG but can shoot it.

Malachi Palmer took an unofficial visit to Villanova Tuesday, and Wednesday the Harrisburg native said he added an offer from another in-state school, Penn State. Palmer also claims offers from Arizona State, Creighton, DePaul, Georgia, Georgetown, Houston, Illinois, Kansas, LSU, Nebraska, New Mexico State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech and UNLV. www.pennlive.com/highschoolsports/2022/06/penn-state-offers-harrisburg-native-4-star-2024-prospect-malachi-palmer.htmlAnother Georgetown target who has ramped up his stock this summer is Class of 2024 guard Malachi Palmer. The Harrisburg, Pa. native is currently at national power Hillcrest Prep in Phoenix, Ariz. With a high motor and significant elevation on his jumper, Palmer is an upper percentile recruit with a unique passing arsenal and the ability to play and defend multiple positions. As a bigger guard at 6-foot-6, Palmer brings length and athleticism and the ability to out-rebound bigger guys in the trenches as an off guard. uga.rivals.com/news/hoyas-on-prowl-for-talented-guards"Maryland basketball's long commitment drought is over. The Terps have received a commitment from Mt. Zion Prep (Lanham, Md.) guard Malachi Palmer. Palmer, a 6-5 senior ranked the No. 23 shooting guard and No. 119 player in the country, chose the Terps over West Virginia, Villanova, Florida State, Oklahoma State, Georgetown and others, giving Kevin Willard his first 2024 commitment... Palmer, who attends school in nearby Lanham, Md., brings scoring ability Maryland desperately needs, especially with star guard Jahmir Young gone after this season. He also ends a long stretch without a commitment for Maryland, which was the final Big Ten program without a commitment for next year. And he adds to the Terps' connections with their top target, five-star center Derik Queen, with whom he played for Baltimore-based Team Thrill on the AAU circuit; current Terps Noah Batchelor and Mady Traore also played for that program, while Julian Reese and Jahnathan Lamothe played with him at St. Frances Academy." 247sports.com/Article/maryland-basketball-recruiting-malachi-palmer-commits-terps-kevin-willard-224073535/

Doryan Onwuchekwa will not be headed to Boulder after all. The 6-foot-10 center out of Faith Family Academy in Dallas has requested to be released from his National Letter of Intent (NLI) to Colorado and will reopen his recruitment.
Onwuchekwa provided the following statement to On3 regarding his decision:
“Colorado Basketball and I have mutually agreed to part ways. The University of Colorado Basketball program will grant me a complete release from my National Letter of Intent. Colorado Basketball and I wish each other the best.”
