I have not seen any crystal ball predictions for Howard yet, but it does sound like the Hoyas are pretty heavily involved. He would really be a great fit with the rest of the 24' class and improve the team athleticism all by himself!!!! Fingers crossed!!!

"This year, we had another player breakout that plans to take the college route and is one you need to know about - Johnny Furphy. "It's such an amazing experience to come out here and play against people from all around the world," Furphy said of his experience at the NBA Academy Games. "It's not something you get to do everyday so I am enjoying it and getting as much out of it as I can and enjoying the competition."... Well, after going under-recruited in 2023, Furphy is making his dream a reality after the NBA Academy Games having earned offers from Kansas, Georgetown, College of Charleston, Providence, Marquette and Ole Miss already. However the offers aren't done rolling in as Duke, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Gonzaga, UCLA, Oklahoma, UCF, Texas Tech, Santa Clara and Colorado have all also expressed heavy interest in the breakout recruit." 247sports.com/Article/Johnny-Furphy-joins-prestigious-list-of-breakout-NBA-Academy-stars-212670580/"Coming out of the first July live period, one of the hottest names was Johnny Furphy. A near 6-foot-8 small forward from Australia, Furphy was the talk of the NBA Global Academy event thanks to his skill level, shooting and ability to make plays for himself and others with the ball in his hands. For the Sportradar Showdown, the Global Academy put together a team of their best players from the event and competed as a group. While playing time was spread pretty evenly so that each player could showcase their game, Furphy was again a major standout. Particularly when he received extended playing time during a Saturday afternoon game against Indiana Elite. Furphy shot it with confidence from deep. He put the ball on the deck and attacked the rim, he made plays for others and he looked like a pretty high-level guy. To make things more interesting, it is sounding more and more like Furphy will actually make his way to the States as a member of the class of 2023. We spotted head coaches from Duke, Gonzaga, Kansas, North Carolina, Providence, UCLA and many others taking in his games and he confirmed to 247Sports that he’s looking into making 2023 happen and that visits could be set up quite soon. Once those visits are in place, this is a recruitment that we could see moving to a quick conclusion." 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/longformarticle/college-basketball-recruiting-las-vegas-live-period-vj-edgecombe-johnny-furphy-khani-rooths-and-more-212904480/#2197511"Johnny Furphy, one of the top international prospects in his class, has committed to Kansas and will enroll for the 2023-24 season, he tells 247Sports. "I think everybody knows that Kansas is one of the basketball programs in the United States but what made the difference in the end was coach Self explaining the role he had in mind for me," Furphy said of why he chose Kansas. "To be honest, I was nervous about coming to such a big program but coach [Bill] Self has given me confidence that he both wants and needs me at Kansas." The 6-foot-7, 180-pound forward out of Canberra (AUS) Centre of Excellence was one of the summer's biggest breakout stars in July where he turned heads at the NBA Academy Games in Atlanta and the Sportradar Showdown in Las Vegas earning the offers and interests of many of the nation's top programs including Duke, North Carolina, Gonzaga and many others... Furphy was originally a member of the 2023 recruiting class and started gaining exposure and interest on the NBA Academy platform, playing for the Global Academy in Providence, Rhode Island at the National Prep School Invitational. However, despite turning heads this past February in Rhode Island, Furphy's recruitment was quiet and led to him reclassifying to 2024 to find more opportunities." 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/article/college-basketball-recruiting-australian-star-johnny-furphy-commits-to-kansas-for-the-class-of-2023-213552772/

Good player - at least he's not in the Big East to inflict pain on us directly!

“Florida State is Big Guard University! They develop players like me. Coach (Leonard) Hamilton’s track record says it all. He’s a legend! The recruiting process with FSU was extremely straightforward and the coaches were very clear with how they envision me within their system.”... “They play fast-paced and Coach Hamilton allows his players freedom within his offense. Coach Hamilton and Nickleberry watched me all spring/summer and have really seen how my game has evolved. My passing goes under the radar a lot and that’s one of the things they recognized about my game. The coaching staff value my IQ, my ability to play multiple positions and the passion I bring to the game.” www.on3.com/college/florida-state-seminoles/news/florida-state-aj-swinton-commits-to-seminoles-leonard-hamilton/
