I love reading your assessments/breakdowns. Huge thank you for putting in the time and work and also sharing it with everyone. I very much appreciate it and I'm sure many, many others do as well.

Thanks! glad to share and happy to hear someone is reading Yes, very interesting. Thanks a lot. It's much appreciated. I particularly like the part about Allen not taking long mid-range jumpers. It's really something the entire team needs to do. Those are among the worst shots in basketball, and I think our guys taken them sometimes simply because nothing else is available and they want to quickly take a shot.

Seems that Hoya guards, more than most other guards, fail to locate the three-point line.

Had to go back 8 pages to even find his welcome thread. Deserves his own now! Edit: Now mods merged them
This is a guy that was the starting PG for a NCAA team. He is capable and will do well with the opportunity. Shot looked good and he led the offense superbly. Moved the ball quickly and precisely.
15 pts on 4/7 FG, 2/4 3pt, 5/5 FT shooting, 5/2 A/TO

He was vital tonight. Felt really good with him running things at the end. You could see his leadership qualities, along with Jagan.

Terrell Allen was solid, from start to finish, tonight.

15 Points 5/2 A/TO 4-7 FG 2-4 from 3 5-5 FT *Leadership, defense and steadiness
Let the game come to him, got others involved, and hit a big J and all the FTs in crunch time.
I will sign up for this 24/7/365.

Don’t forget that sweet running hook in the first half. He was feeling it.

If you were designing the perfect PG to play alongside Mac, Allen would basically be it. Decent size, elite defender, and pass first. I had been wondering since the season started what Mac could do playing alongside Allen for a whole game, the first one certainly didn't disappoint. He went from being almost useless while Akinjo was here to now being likely our 3rd most important player behind Yurt and Mac. Very thankful to have him.

In retrospect, after the occurrences of this last week, Allen may turn out to be the single biggest recruit for the season. Where would we be without him now?

OSU game was a clinic in what a pass-first PG can do to unlock a team. Maybe I am out of date with current trends in basketball, but this is the kind of basketball I enjoy watching.

In contrast, the UNCG game was a clinic on how a selfish PG could tank a game.

After the first few games I wasn't that impressed by Allen at all. After the OkSt game, I am deeply impressed. A great heads-up guard who sees the floor, not his defenders feet looking to break one player down. He not only passes well and creates well for others, he can shoot decently, and plays solid defense. He is a really good point guard, which has been a gap for a long while (Akinjo was a really good point guard as he had the skills and IQ, but he didn't lean on the point guard skills this year and played more like a ball dominant #2 guard, which he doesn't have the skills for).
Looking forward to watching Allen a lot more.
