They made such a big deal about this somewhere today (I can't remember where I read it... maybe Daily Quicky?), and I had to laugh to myself. So what if OSU has a great freshman class? They aren't going to win anything, and then Oden is gone after a year. If he stays for a second year... talk about a MIRACLE beyond all miracles.

I dont understand why Oden and his buddy chose OSU. They are 99% sure they are only going to be there for a year, so why not go to a championship contender?

Maybe they want to win a championship there and think they can. I have more respect for someone who wants to take on a challenge and try to bring a title to a school that hasnt always been known as a basketball powerhouse rather than just going somewhere like Duke because thats the cool thing to do these days.

He should have come to Gtown. Winning us a championship would have been kind of a challenge (but a lot more doable than Ohio St.) Macklin would be nice, Oden would have led to the coronation of a basketball champion here at Gtown.
