Jessie Govan - a fantastic offensive force who has moved well up the statistical lists of Hoya stars. You have been a bright light on some disappointing squads. Hopefully we get you your shot in the NCAA tourney. Thank you for being a Hoya.
Trey Mourning - you spent 3 healthy seasons and one redshirt season watching from the sideline, yet you were still the biggest cheerleader for the guys on the court, the first one up to celebrate a good play or urge the guys on when they were down. You have made some important contributions at times this year and helped mentor the underclassmen. Thanks for being a Hoya.
Greg Malinowski - Greg we hardly knew ye. You quickly became our most dependable outside shooter, and had some memorable games that made us wish we had been able to see you develop for 4 years. You chose to join a new program and new teammates for the very last year of your college career, never an easy decision, but you made it work. Thank you for being a Hoya.
Kaleb Johnson - the improvements in your game were proof of how hard you worked every year. Whether a starter or off the bench, you were the first guy on the floor for a loose ball, and spent your career battling inside among the trees to grab more than your share of rebounds or get off that sneaky little lefty layup. Thank you for being a Hoya.
And as always, most importantly, you were all great representatives for the program and the University, and we know that we will continue to hear great things from you whether on or off the court.
Let's get these guys a win on Senior Night!
Hoya Saxa!

What a great post from FrazierFanatic! - as all his posts are. Let's go HOYAS and bring this one home for the wonderful quartet of SENIORS! It's been a great ride for them, altho disappointing at times. But this year has been very good. Let's make it up to them today!!!

Thank you Jesse, Kaleb, Trey, and Greg! You guys have worked to lift the program and help bring hope back into psyche of Hoya fans. You've helped fill me with optimism for college basketball. The Hoyas are the only basketball team that I care about. Thank for working hard and for the good attitudes. I wish you well in your future endeavors.

Thank you Seniors for always representing yourselves, your families and our University with class, dignity and effort.
Know that what you each have achieved thus far is the tip of the iceberg.
Hoya Saxa gentlemen!!!

Frazier, that’s an awesome post. I agree with every word. What I especially love about this particular group of seniors are is that they are all bright, articulate young men who represent the university so well.

I want to thank all of the seniors for all the efforts over the past four years. I want especially give a shout out to Jessie, who is perhaps the first player from my HS to play for the Hoyas since I was there. He didn't stay at my HS for all four years, but he played one or two years there, so I claim him anyway. And I hope their senior day is very successful against Seton Hall. Go Hoyas!!!

Thank you to the seniors and good luck to all in them as they graduate (and for Trey, a second time)!
Now let's win a few of these and get you guys the NCAA Tourney appearance you deserve.

Echoing all of the above...thank you, seniors! The program is pointing in the right direction due in no small part to your efforts and leadership.

And if you pass it to him, you may as well go crash the glass, because he shoots it almost every time he touches it.

One definition from kenpom: “This describes a player’s role in the offense, by explaining how many of his team’s possessions a player is personally responsible for ending while he is on the floor.” So basically, usage tracks when you take a field goal, take a free throw, or turn it over. So in other words, if there are possessions where he doesn’t touch the ball at all, or if he makes a quick pass, those don’t count and lower the percentage. In Big East play his usage is 22.1%, which is high for a player of his talent level.

If usage included how many times on the defensive end he ended the possession with an “and one”...he’d be off the charts.
