"Wonder what Alonzo said to him in their little huddle? That was simply inspirational."
Does anyone know what was said?

I don't see why after or during every bad game of Jessie's people get upset about his lack of intensity or effort. His intensity/effort level seems to be the same every game, regardless if he plays good or bad. He seems to be a mellow guy, I just don't see him ever appearing to have a high intensity level. It's just who he is. He could have 30 and 15 one game and his intensity and effort level isn't gonna be any different than it is in a game where he shoots 1-10 with 4 pts and 2 boards. Some nights shots fall, some nights they don't. That's the only difference between a good night from Jessie and a bad one.
A zebra doesn't change its stripes, so why expect Jessie to suddenly be someone he's not. With every player you have to take the good with the bad, assuming the good outweighs the bad. With Jessie obviously it does. In spite of his shortcomings he's still the best player on the team. And let's face it, if he had say Josh Leblanc's motor and athleticism, he would've been a lottery pick 2 years ago.
Lots of wishy washy fandom. Everyone went berserk for James' bucket and the floor slap, but he could've just as easily gotten his shot stuffed like it often does when he goes to the hole like that and everyone would've been calling for his head for trying to make it personal and go one on one like that. Mac takes a bad shot and hits and everyone loves him, he misses a bad one and everyone wants him on the bench. These guys are what they are. They all have different personalities, different strengths and weaknesses, but at the end of the day they all wanna win as bad or more than we do.

My hope is that Govan carries the productivity he showed in the 2 OT's to the next two games plus the BET... My hope is that Alonzo goes on the Sping Break Chicago/Milwaukee trip this week and then to MACinson Square Garden to push/instruct Jessie. Btw, not sure if this has been mentioned, but I like that our schedule combined the DePaul and Marquette away games into back-to-back games and during Spring Break. Best for our students, who don't have to worry about school work and the double trip to that area! IIRC, usually by Spring Break week, we've finished the regular season and its BET week.

I have been inspired. I will fly into Chicago for Wednesday's game, work remotely from the hotel on Thursday and Friday and drive up to Milwaukee Saturday morning.
It's clear that I miss meaningful games in March.

I think it is a typical road swing for the conference. Hit one game on the weekend and the other 1/2 a week later.

To clarify, the two games were played back to back last year, but for the first time. Maybe it has now been established as the norm.

Son I've been a Hoya fan probably since before you were born. The point I'm trying to make is that Govan's first 40 minute performance yesterday was god awful and had it not been for Josh (and some really horrible play by SH) we would have lost the game in regulation. Let's put this to rest by agreeing to hope that Govan carries the intensity he showed for 10 minutes yesterday to the next two games. Son? No one disputed that Govan was awful during regulation, that was a strawman you built so you could make the point that Govan didn't deserve any credit for Yesterday's win... My hope is that Govan carries the productivity he showed in the 2 OT's to the next two games plus the BET... Dr. Quigley = Curmudgeonly grandpa. Walter Brennan from The Real McCoys? Don't let it bother you.

Hey Pepinna, if it weren't for a one point differential I would own the lead! BTW, I consider myself more like Peter Finch in Network.
