The men will try to qualify for the NCAA Distance Medley Relay in North Carolina tonight. Some are predicting a top five finish at the NCAAs. The four Hoyas that will run tonight are as follows: 1. Joe White, 1200m leg 2. Lawrence Leake, 400m 3. Ruach Padhal, 800m 4. Nick Wareham, 1600m I was expecting Joe to run the 800m leg, but he might be the best bet to run the 1200m leg, considering he has run some fast 1000m. If the DMR team does qualify for the NCAAs, Joe should be also qualified for the 800m individual race at the NCAA, seeing that he has the 3rd best time this year. Considering that, the Hoyas might substitute somebody else to run the 1200m leg at the NCAA, perhaps Jack Salisbury. guhoyas.com/news/2019/2/14/mens-xc-track-georgetown-sends-quartet-of-runners-to-jdl-fast-track-invite.aspx

Ruach ran the fastest 800m. I was expecting Joe to have a faster 1200m. The rest ran as I would expect. I hope the GU vs Villanova next week turns out the same result.

There were five teams at the track meet at Notre Dame today that ran faster than the Hoyas time last night, so that puts Georgetown at about 10th.

Georgetown is indeed 10th nationally in the DMR. Their time was converted to coincide with the oversized track times. The factor for going from a flat track to a banked or oversized track is 0.9866. The JDL track was flat, the Notre Dame track was oversized.

The NCAA relay qualifiers are the top 12 times during the season. The individual events take the top 16. So as of now, Joe White is qualified, as he is #3, and the DMR team is qualified at #10.
