I have very little in common with AI besides both going to Georgetown and being roughly 6β0β, but I really enjoy him. He reveals to me a part of the world that I know little to nothing about which helps me to better understand, appreciate, and try to relate to it.
While his style may not be mine, he is authentically himself, and I can respect that.

Ironic that AI ends up in Philly with the 76ers and becomes a city icon. Great story

Due is SO much more cerebral than most gave him credit for, and never an act with him.

Ironic that AI ends up in Philly with the 76ers and becomes a city icon. Great story He is pretty much a cultural icon....Chuck/AI has a rap about someone considering himself to be AI-like ....crazy....if you don't know, I don't mean he is mentioned....literally a rap entitled "White Iverson".....

Was at that Nova game. Love him or hate him, Big John always looked out for his kids and would have taken that forfeit if he had to.

I have been following Chuck's career since he was at Bethel. He has always been his own guy. But I remember the look on his face at the Villanova game, he was hurt. I remember Big John putting his arms around him and the team walking off the court. I never saw him with a look like that again on the court. Great article.

They can close the Player's Tribune down. They aren't getting a better article than that. I'm biased about Bubbachuck, but it's hard not to be a fan of someone so honest, forthcoming, and who left everything on the court.

Agreed with all of the above. I wish AI would spend more time at Georgetown, at games, visiting the team, etc. He is still so iconic. Would help recruiting, attendance, media notices, etc. How about an AI section at Cap One. He makes occasional appearances, etc.

I'm biased about Bubbachuck, but it's hard not to be a fan of someone so honest, forthcoming, and who left everything on the court. At least during the games. I haven't read the article yet, but I plan to. I'm just posting to note that I'm playing in an NBA fantasy league, and one of the teams is named Allen Iverson. I emailed the guy and asked if he was a Hoya, and he said no, and he also wasn't from Philly. He just loved Iverson.

This is a really cool thing to have done. Tip of the cap to AI and Reebok.
