Bad enough our team is a joke, now our court is a joke too. This will NOT age well. (Willing to change my mind if one 5-star recruit commits and says "I just love how that kente court looks.") (Which is never going to happen.)

I think we can have some fun with the aesthetics (or lack thereof) of the court without overstated comparisons to a team on the rise.

I'm a veritable codger on this board, and I have no problem with the kente representation on the court. It's distinctive and readily identifiable as being Georgetown. Which is not a bad thing.

Now, if we could only limit our uniform choices to blue and gray. . . .

Yes, since the court redesign in 2015 there was a very subtle kente in the key. Additionally, in 2016 they added some kente similar to the new style on the sidelines by the media table.

I like the look of the court as well. Also looks like the G at half court is Grey instead of the usual navy...

The part I like most about the court is the picture of Kaleb at the free throw line, without a walking boot on. And Akinjo is in the group picture without any noticeable braces.

I also question whether this is a stroke of brilliance at giving us an advantage on our home court. I think staring down at the floor before looking up to shoot the hoop may not be an option as the crossing lines may visually disorient the eye to the hoop. By using a traditional african staple of hoya uniforms in this way to disorient opposing teams at the free throw line is a stroke of genius.

The Kente looks great, but who thought it would be a good idea to have no paint on the baseline detail? That part looks horrible from a design perspective. Now the key is just floating in space. If they kept that navy as before this would have really looked good.
