And yet there have been one, if not two, Hoyas who have been SFS in the last 15 years or so. In men's basketball? Don't think so. There was a thread on this many years ago and the last SFS name we could come up with was Art White. Any other names come to mind in the interim?

I swore Sead Dizdarevic started as SFS and changed to Government and Political Science. Digging through around the same time I'm seeing quite a few double majors and major with minor students. By the way, a former Georgetown Football player started USC graduate film school, but at the end of his first semester got an offer to play professional football in Germany so put grad school on hold.

If you're a basketball player, you're not going to be in UCLA's undergrad film school. It's like kids who talk about how Georgetown has a great foreign service program. And yet there have been one, if not two, Hoyas who have been SFS in the last 15 years or so. It is a good work load, but others have done math as well at least one double major. Nope. Name them. Double majors are not remotely comparable to the SFS.

...I hope a Baker official visit is in our future. Makes me think other factors not known to us are in play. We can only judge on what has happened. He's been to ucla and texas extensively, gtown conducted an in-house visit and we're in his top 4;and that's it.

I don't think he is coming. He would have scheduled a visit by now. Also notice that Ewing hasn't been back to Texas to see him. Baker is announcing Nov 9th.

I wouldn't hold my breath lol. I'm thinking Texas in a tight race with UCLA. Seems like a hometown kid. Feel good story. Local boy makes good.
One thing to keep in mind is that Texas is currently over the scholarship limit at the moment for next yrs roster, so it will be interesting to see who transfers if Baker commits.
UCLA has a bunch of bigs already, especially if 5 star big man Moses Brown comes back for his soph yr.

Truth be told Moses Brown isnt exactly a one and done... but kids these days think they are so good after 1 year only to realize that they would need 4-5 years before becoming a star in the nba... i dont see a lottery pick for brown after a year i dont know if he even better than thon maker before maker joined the nba.

I'm not sure I would promote this, since Artie hardly ever went to class.

He was invited to depart Gtown with a gpa well below the Mendoza line. But what a nice player!

If Pat pulls this one without a visit, it will be amazing.
Guessing Texas.

No indication to think that we have a chance here. Baker hasn't visited, Ewing hasn't been back out to visit him recently. Rarely do kids commit sight unseen.

WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY EXCEPT WASHINGTON DC IS A HAPPENING PLACE AND THE CAPITAL OF OUR COUNTRY AND THE WORLD FOR THAT MATTER. PLEASE COME TO GEORGETOWN YOU WON'T REGRET IT. COACH EWING IS FABULOUS, SINCERE, DRIVEN,COMPETITIVE AND WILL BE A REAL WINNER ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE ON BOARD.
