anyone see this about Bogut showing up to his workout with the Bucks in a suit and gave the coach his resume. i know it looks cheesy but it appears this kid has his head on straight, unlike a lot of players that are coming out these days. i hope that hoya players of the future will represent themselves well when they are given workouts for lottery positions. more from Andy Katz and espn.com sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2005/columns/story?columnist=katz_andy&id=2091082

although i'm a HUGE fan of the guy, i think this move is semi-Edited. he really didn't need to do what he did and a resume? did he REALLY need to give a resume? This is basketball and he's a top pick prospect. these guys know what they're getting. they know him INSIDE-OUT, background checks etc etc etc...
.........god i hope bogut isn't a bust... i'll never live it down from my boys...

was his resume on nice card stock too? This is rediculous - why do you need to give someone a resume when you tryout for a team as a lottery pick. A first impression is nice, but what makes a better first impression: a resume or a sweet baby hook and the ability to stroke the 3?

You only get one chance to make a good first impression. This is what I always tell my girls. It is true and I can only respect Mr. Bogut for having the good sense to display some positive vibes on his visit to Milwaukee. It is quite possible that the extra polish he showed could end up being the "tie breaker" in an otherwise tough decision. Sports is entertainment but also a business, and positive PR goes a long way toward future profits. Good for him.

Unlike most of the kids today who have been pampered to death in AAU ball, maybe he just wanted to convey the impression that he knew he was going to be the employee and let them know that he knew this was a job that he was prepared to work at and not just another stop on the gravy train. If it was not of his own doing (maybe he just had terrifc parents), then whoever is advising him should be commended.

I agree with STafford72 and FromTheBeginning. Of course it wasn't necessary. But it conveys a LOT about the seriousness and professionalism of the young man. You need more than talent on a team. You need character and leadership. Good for Bogut to stand out from the crowd in such a positive way.

And I don't expect to be handed a resume, when I interview a student for GU, but I always appreciate when they do give me one. Again, a nice first impression!

From what I saw of him at the KL, he should hit the weight room for more of an NBA type body. Needs more strength-Ben and Rasheed would throw him outside the lane.

Its strictly a PR move. Some of you guys are fooled by this nonsense. I'm not impressed at all. There is no class in that. Its bogus. They guy will be a bust. So this is the last time most of us will talking about this clown.

Having class, or even wanting to project an image of humility and respect, is a good thing. It doesn't mean he won't be a bust.

They perfer to be called by their offical job title, "Make-up wearing children entertainer psyco killers"

What kind of a come back is that? Watching paint dry? Listen, I don't do manual labor. I get my ho's to do that. That's what being a pimp is all about. Managing your ho's. That and getting all your bling bling balenced all over your body.
Back to Bogut, what you have to remember is that he is from Austrialia. They do thing a little different down there. They say hey mate and wrestle crocs while drinking lots of Fosters. I also hear they have invented an onion that is battered and fried. To them basketball is a job. You have to have a high school diploma, some experience with Excel, and Word, and good credit. It's a 40 hour a week job. You go in, in the morning, fill out the TPS report cover sheet and then maybe you get to play a little basketball if you fill out the required request papers in triplet.
