Everyone agrees that comprehensive immigration reform needed. Trump's demonization of immigrants is not helpful. As policy, the third country rule is a poor substitute for a coordinated strategy addressing the rise in Central American asylum claims. And as a legal matter, the new rule fails to fit the text of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and undermines the intricate architecture of the INA's asylum provisions. www.lawfareblog.com/administrations-new-asylum-rule-exceeds-statutory-authority

I just don't understand why we have to treat these folks so badly. That has nothing to do with wether you send them back or keep them here.
It's not right.

It's increasingly clear that, for some, the answer is a resounding, "Yes."

1) I feel safer knowing these kids will be sleeping in a local gym until further notice...
2) It’s insane that they do these workplace raids and then the actual owners and managers of the business get off entirely.

Where on this board have I read about democrats wanting open borders so they can get new voters? I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere, can anyone refresh my memory? www.mediamatters.org/fox-news/fox-circles-wagons-wake-el-paso-shootingwww.mediamatters.org/tucker-carlson/how-fox-news-pushed-white-supremacist-great-replacement-theoryIngraham fearmongered on her podcast that Democrats support “replacing the current American population” with “new immigrants.”
Ingraham and her guest Pat Buchanan warned that immigration will change “the whole character and composition of the nation.” Buchanan added that “we're becoming a different country without consulting the American people, who never voted for any of this. ... You're talking about the destiny of a country.”
Ingraham again warned that “the Democrats want to replace many of you.”
Ingraham complained that immigrants create “huge assimilation problems, especially with those coming from very different cultures.” She added that “we're dealing with a total breakdown in the values of this country that I grew up in, and it's just disgusting.”
On his Fox show, Tucker Carlson fearmongered about immigrants replacing an aging American population. He asserted that he isn’t “against the immigrants” but rather “for the Americans” because “nobody cares about them. It’s like, shut up, you’re dying, we’re gonna replace you.”

Tucker Carlson announced a mid-week fishing trip this week, a pattern for Fox hosts who get into trouble and disappear for a couple of weeks.
Of course, Bill O'Reilly never came back from his break, but Tucker will be back once the immigration discussion cools down.

Notably, many white supremacists often spout anti-semitic rhetoric. As for Antifa, the far-left group has been known to damage property and occasionally fight with police, but no killings have ever been linked to them. "All forms of hate have to really – they have to be reined in," Conway continued. "We have to look at the motivations. We have to try to keep firearms out of the hands of those who are capable of doing such evil," she added. On Tuesday evening, Carlson claimed on his Fox News show Tucker Carlson Tonight that white supremacy was a "hoax" and a "conspiracy theory used to divide the country." "It's actually not a real problem in America. The combined membership of every white supremacist organization in this country would be able to fit inside a college football stadium," the Fox News host argued. Remember when we were told that this crackdown was just on illegal immigration and this is just about following the laws? Well, anyone who believed that is an idiot. Now the trump admin is cracking down on legal immigration and will cut back on green cards for immigrants who aren’t rich enough. www.nytimes.com/2019/08/12/us/politics/trump-immigration-policy.html
