Love the "Hoya Hoops" T on the west coast. He is representing well. I was looking at the first page of this thread, assuming from his HS senior year. Same attitude, a little thicker. Gonna finish even better than he did at the end of the year.

Some really astute observations as part of that video. Hope it does not come to the attention of our BE rivals.

I hope Akinjo gets chosen for Chris Paul's elite camp this summer, it'd be a great experience for him...

Glad to see Akinjo getting some shine! No Cole Anthony is an oversight by Katz.

Glad to see Akinjo getting some shine! No Cole Anthony is an oversight by Katz. When I saw that, I just thought he assumed Cole was moving to a CG/SG role. There's no reason for him not to have Cole other than that. But James is going to make a bigger name for himself this year... the nation should watch out.

Cole choose UNC in part because of their need for a PG. In any case Katz has included multiple Combo Guard and Scoring Guard types on his list including Markus Howard and Kamar Baldwin. I really think it's just an oversight not to have Cole but have other incoming freshman PG types. Katz lack of clarity of what a kind of PG he's comparing actually limits Akinjo's true effectiveness. Akinjo is a true PG. He can set the table by creating scoring opportunities for teammates and himself. Some of the guards on his list like Markus Howard are primarily scoring point guards...

Boy, what a screw up. I just opened an email from GU Athletics that talks about the returning team leaders - Mosley, Pickett, McClung and LeBlanc. I almost had a heart attack thinking that there had to be a reason for such an insane omission. But thankfully, I guess not. I guess it's just an insane omission.

Read it again. The email intros with Akinjo and highlighting his Rookie of the Year honor. The others are mentioned later on.

James seems to be our poster child this season. All the basketball related communications from the school bear his image.
