Good listen... thanks for posting. Interesting about the Van Gundy relationship. The idea that there was some sort of bad blood between McClung and Ewing was fabricated by fans looking for an excuse to hate McClung. You can tell a lot about people from their instagrams. Akinjo for instance only ever followed Govan and Leblanc and immediately wiped all Georgetown content from his page when he left. Mac followed and was followed by the majority of his teammates and also Patrick Ewing Jr, many of whom, including Ewing Jr post congratulatory comments on his posts to this day. Mac also never scrubbed his page of his Georgetown content after he left. That is not the signs of someone who left with any sort of bad blood or animosity with his coaches or teammates. I also doubt Van Gundy who he met through Ewing, would've continued to serve as a mentor for Mac after he left, would've done so if he felt he had did Ewing dirty in any way.

This is a training camp invite to compete for the last roster spot. Better than an exhibit 10 but hasn’t made the team yet. Non guaranteed one year contact contingent on making team.

Mac needs to find a team he might be able to make. So far he has tried the Lakers and the Warriors, teams that are stacked with veterans and egos so he had little chance of a roster spot. Steve Kerr said they cut him because they are looking for a pass first player. Mac played extremely well in the g league and moderately well in the summer league in limited time. Hope some team finds a place for him. Seems like Pick and he are having a time finding a home.

I think if he were 6-5 with that athleticism he could stick on somebody’s main roster but at 6-2 or 6-1 he has to play point guard which limits his options and is also one for he hardest positions to master.

They knew what they were getting. Mac will be an excellent player in Latvia.

Cgallstar, no joke. DM me. It would be fun to see Mac and Tremont (if he returns) side-by-side.

First night of G League play. Mac, Pickett, Blair, Mohammed, and Akinjo all played tonight. Mac with 25 pts on 9-12 shooting. Pickett had a nice game with 21 and 12 boards against his old team... Buddy Boeheim went scoreless on 0-4 shooting. Akinjo had a solid game with 13 and 10 assists... Blair went scoreless on 0-6 shooting. Mohammed only saw 4 mins of garbage time, going 0-2 but scored 2 points on free throws.
