Do we need the political baggage? I had enough with the Mourning experience.

What are you even basing that on? Looking at his third program. In less than three years. I guess that's correct but how about Program 1 was in the FBI's sh1tlist and Program 2 changed coach and you sat out a year with a heart ailment... Not saying that frequent team change isn't a red flag but this one looks different to me

Not saying that frequent team change isn't a red flag but this one looks different to me I don’t get how this is a red flag at all. He doesn’t leave Arizona if they don’t get exposed, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with “quitting” on a team with those accusations against them. Since his heart condition set him back a year he got recruited over at UCLA, is playing under a head coach he didn’t originally sign up for, and is looking for a change of scenery to get his basketball career back on track now that he’s healthy. He clearly loved UCLA based on that letter and wouldn’t be leaving if it wasn’t clearly the best option for him.

If a kid like Williams commits and has second thoughts, make the right decision for you. But consistently flipping your decision sends up major concerns. But in today’s college ball, it doesn’t seem out of the norm.

This isn’t “consistently flipping your decision.” Arizona was about to get the axe, and the coach who he signed to play for left and the new guy doesn’t seem to have a role for him. That’s really unfair.

I could be very wrong, but our options were limited and we had to play Mourning. Given that he never got a chance to play under JTIII, perhaps Coach Ewing felt obligated to give him playing time! It was a family affair at the end of his college career. In my opinion, Mourning didnt show a lot...some but not a lot of skill. I don't know anything about O'Neals game. Given Shaquille's omnipresence, do we want the scrutiny of his son playing here if he is not a great player. Can he Shareeffe (sp?) help?

You want to use his heart condition as an excuse to make your point. Not once have I brought it up; you do tho. He didn’t reneg on Arizona because of it, and he sat out the year to then come back and play. His transfer has to do about playing time at UCLA. So really you are the one who should feel shame for using it as a crutch.

Through these channels I am more aware of his accomplishments and have greater confidence.

Walton is absolutely brutal. Unlistenable. I have not seen many highlights of O'Neal's game, but those highlights from that ND game certainly showed a skill set that the Hoyas could use on the team right now. Having transferred multiple times is never a good look, but leaving Arizona made sense after the allegations against that program. I am not sure why he is leaving UCLA. It sounds like some people are saying it is strictly a playing time issue, but I thought he was getting regular minutes this season, but I have not watched any UCLA games this season. I have read that UCLA is struggling this season and the new coach, Cronin, is trying to rebuild the entire program. Is he leaving because of the uncertainty in the program? I really don't know anything about the kid other than he is Shaq's kid, had some health issues and was a fairly highly rated recruit who expressed some interest in Georgetown before committing to Arizona. I would think he is worth kicking the tires on to see if there might be a fit.
