Hoyas already have their PG of the future signed in McClung. I highly doubt the staff is looking for 2018 class freshman PG to go along with McClung. No McClung isn't your table setting PG, but from what Ewing said when he got the job, he's not looking for a table setter in his PG's. He wants Kemba Walker type PG's to run his offense. Kemba is a scoring PG that can make plays for others. There are plenty of these scoring PGs in the conference like Howard and Rowsey at Marquette, Carrington (Seton Hall), and Baldwin who plays the majority of the PG minutes for Butler. McClung is more suited for the role of a scoring PG that can make plays for others than a pure table setter/facilitator type. Obviously Mulmore is more of a facilitator because he lacks elite confidence in his perimeter game and the team's strength is getting the ball to its BIGs. I wouldn't be surprised if the staff pursues a 5th year free agent PG to balance out the roster to go along with McClung and Mosely who can slide in give quality minutes. I agree with this, PE has said on a few occasions that McClung is his pick for lead guard.. The team still needs to land another handler in this class though imo, I'd shy away from the 5th year route..There's nothing left worthy of really pursuing in the 18 class at the ball handling play making position. Even if one becomes available during the off season via decommitment, it will be very difficult to get as a high level player will be in high demand. Also Coach Ewing is building and the 19 class is deeper and more talented then the 18 class. Rent a 5th year ball handling type and get that scholarship back for the ultra talented 19 class. That's why Tucker is such an intriguing option. You get him an he essentially becomes part of the 18 class but has an advantage of being on campus and working out with the team before the rest of the 18 class ever sets foot on campus.

Hoping for a decision sooner rather than later. Kid needs to enroll and take classes soon. Maybe transcripts and paperwork need to be sorted and reviewed. Does anyone know if he has other visits scheduled? This needs to be done soon as I think classes start on Wends of this week at Georgetown. If he is coming to Georgetown I think he needs to be registered for classes before the semester starts. I know some of the other schools out west start a little later but if we don't have an answer by tomorrow I would think he is going to be going somewhere else.

This would be going from one place you don't play to another place where you don't play.

Definetly wouldn't play much at Kentucky. They have 2 guys already signe for next yr plus others that will return like baker and vanderbilt who have been hurt this yr.

I felt like this was going to happen quickly. A little worried that it is dragging out and other names are being tossed around. Not much concrete info though.

He's not going to Kentucky and they wouldn't waste a scholarship on him.

He's not going to Kentucky and they wouldn't waste a scholarship on him. I can't imagine Kentucky is an option for this player, not if he is looking for minutes next year. I also think that if we don't have a commitment by tomorrow morning then he is not coming to Georgetown. I think classes start tomorrow and he would need to be enrolled to be eligible for the second semester of next year. We should have an answer pretty soon.

i really hope this kid would choose us, he would start over pickett or play alongside him, he has that natural feel as a SF while pickett is still sorting out if he is going to be a 2 or 3. This guy is so smooth i kind of feel like he could be a brandon roy type for us once his handles get better and assuming he stats for 4 years

He has until end of add/drop to enroll at GU, so until 1/17, I believe.

So can we safely assume Maryland is the Big Ten program referred to in the Rivals article teaser?

Duke fans acting like Jordan Tucker made a mistake because he could have gotten 20 minutes of garbage time in Duke's 35-point win over Pitt. Ignore the fact that there's two Duke recruit SF coming in next year....

He's not going to Maryland either. They are stocked on the wings and kind of passed on him the first time around. I think he's a Hoya.
