Do we really have three open scholarships? What about Mourning? I thought it was two scholarships plus Mourning returning after a medical redshirt year. We have at least three schollies and yes I understand Mourning can apply for a medical redshirt. We need shooters and talent period. If Ewing is interested, so am I.

He wasn't as efficient as you'd like to see on the AAU circuit but he would be a no brainer addition. Similar to Sam Cunliffe who we pursued but without the baggage.
Everyone knew he was an insurance policy at Duke and wasn't good enough to see the floor his 1st couple years. This is the most predictable transfer people saw coming as soon as he committed.
Athletic with a nice stroke.

This guy is simply too good to pass up on. Get him, and let the rest take care of themselves.

Reminds me of Pryor. I am sure he can fill the same hole. We need. Did I hear correctly that he is available immediately?!

Another poster asked why SJU would back off and ZB agreed with the statement that there's "lots of criticism out there of him." I dunno exactly what that means... It means he is not interested in St. John's so they are criticizing him.π

Definite take. Yeah he isn't a PG or a C like we need, but he is a solid wing with a great stroke. I am sure we would find a spot for him next to Pickett

Adding Tucker would probably work two seasons down the road when Kaleb is gone but he's immediate impact to the team would cause transfers/de-commitment or someone sitting at the end of the bench for a year. As far as shooters for next year we have Greg and Mourning, hopefully! Then people transfer - you're seriously making the argument that we should depend on a walk-on and a guy who has hardly played who can grad transfer out? This kid was ranked in the top 50 - he plays over almost everyone on our roster next year. I'm watching these videos - he can get to the hoop, he did a couple of nifty behind the back moves, and that stroke is just absolutely gorgeous. There's some athleticism there too - some nice dunks. Still need a PG to set him up, but this would be a fantastic add.

He would take minutes from many of our current players and that is a good thing. Take him if you can get him.

I have no idea why we would turn down any talent upgrade at this point. We have the scholarships.

This guy looks to be an immediate upgrade and also seems to have some versatility and a much better stroke than anyone we have. I would also think landing a highly ranked recruit would also provide some momentum to the overall recruiting effort. Seems like a no brainer unless based on the avail info.

Teddy you do realize that this kid would be an upgrade over every wing on our current roster based on rankings? This isn't some 2or3* kid that would need to watch. Only Pickett would be debated if he had signed out of HS. Plus he is a smart kid that can handle the course load.....it's a no brainer.....

I've seen a few less then sensational games out of him, IMO he's a glue guy with potential, not the instant offense that we need. Looking at his stats and the fact that he couldn't brake free of the bench further tells me he may not be the fix that we're looking for. Six points in two games and he's a 90% or better /4 star recruit! www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4277844/jordan-tucker

I just don't want us to have a bottle neck at the SF position and a disgruntle bench, yes we need talent but if PE can coach this team up I think the recruiting will take off.

He looks like a 2/3 to me and if that's the case maybe Ewing thinks he can play some SG for us?
I don't think it would be crazy to have Tucker, Pickett, and LeBlanc play 2,3, and 4 together at times.
Like others stated if this makes us more attractive to a guy like Montgomery and you bring in a player like Nowell, consider me on board!
