If he doesn't get an offer when he visits, I'll agree that he was being played but now I think UK has shown that they're very interested in him and obviously he thinks they're sincere..UK is on another lecel, I can't blame kids for wanting to be a part of it.. No disrespect to Baylor, WVU or Illinois but UK is well above them.. This strategic game plans allows Kentucky to string him along until they have a better idea of where they are at with their top choices in Wiseman, Carey, and Hurt. They are playing the same game with Kofi Cockburn... But OT can easily play with any of those kids plus he has visits set up with 3 other schools who'll take him now.. It also has to be said that he wants to committ soon unlike Wiseman, Carey & Hurt.. Can't see how he's being played here, he has all the cards imo.. If Cal won't take him a verbal on the visit but gets him to wait then he'll be getting played..

The odds of making the NBA are incredibly low. I don't fault any kid for going to a program that increases those odds. Currently Gtown is not in that position but I believe Ewing will have us there in a few years. Last time I checked, the NBA doesn't care if you played at Kentucky, Fresno State, or in Angola just as long as the prospect can play. There's no advantage to playing at Duke or Kentucky. If anything it hurts players stock playing with a stacked deck if they struggle. A year ago every prognosticator thought Trevon Duval was a O&D lottery pick. No one thought Zaire Smith (Texas Tech) was a lottery pick. Very few were talking about Jerome Robinson (Boston College) as a lottery pick. Chandler Hutchinson (Boise St.) and Melvin Frazier (Tulane) were fringe draft picks both picked before Duval. Alize Johnson (Missouri St.) and Tony Carr (Penn St.) were drafted. Duval wasn't! Hamadou Diallo and Jared Vanderbilt were sure fire lottery picks that went to Kentucky, didn't develop a lick and ended up mid 2nd round picks. Skal Labissiere was the number 1 player on most everyones draft boards before going to Kentucky and ended up a very late 1st round draft pick after showing no development at Kentucky whatsoever. This "Kentucky gets prospects drafted narrative" drives me crazy because it's absolutely false. The NBA will draft talented players from any where. One thing is proven is If you go to Duke and Kentucky and struggle playing with high level talent in a smaller role, your stock will plummet...

Just because you have a backup plan doesn't mean your not getting played. If your girl strings you along by dating other guys while telling you to give her time, doesn't mean your not getting played just because you have a back-up girl. It may lessen the blow but your still getting played...

If they like each other cool, if not he still has 3 willing girls left in WVU, Baylor & Illinois to choose from.. How can that be viewed as a bad look for him?

If they like each other cool, if not he still has 3 willing girls left in WVU, Baylor & Illinois to choose from.. How can that be viewed as a bad look for him? He chasing Kentucky. He wants Kentucky to be his girl. By his behavior Kentucky is the girl he loves while Kentucky is just flirting with him and fully dating these other prospects. The other 3 are less to him. Heck he's treating WVU who has been by his side since the early stages telling him he's their number 1 guy, that they love him like his bottom chick...while he flirts with Kentucky who has made it obvious that they will take him if they can't get the prospects they deem better. Like I said, I don't blame Kentucky. I just wish these prospects had more self worth. Maybe he will prove me wrong by going on the visit, getting a commitable offer and then choose WVU or his other 2 options. He obviously has NBA desires but needs a coach that will develop his all around game, not hide his weaknesses just to get him drafted into a league where he is not prepared to compete and struggles to stay afloat.

Holy Christmas. Could you imagine Oscar at the 4 w/ Aminu & Qudus in the frontcourt?
Teams would crap themselves.

Maybe Huggins is a little too candid but there is quite a contrast with the approach our team takes with the press.

Beggars can’t be choosers but man we would have zero space in that lineup for our guards/wings to operate. On a team that will probably feature two slashing wings a stretch 4 would be a much better fit.

There’s something seriously broken in college basketball when every high school or college kid has “handlers”.

If there is a handler then we are never an option

If there are handlers involved they are not very savvy. Everyone who knows college basketball knows it is Huggins' way or the highway at WVU. That should not have been a surprise.
