West Virginia, Baylor, Ole Miss, Kansas, Illinois, Georgetown, Kentucky and Virginia Kansas and WVU might be tough to beat in this lineup, but we’ve got a shot—and better to be getting on these lists than not.

West Virginia, Baylor, Ole Miss, Kansas, Illinois, Georgetown, Kentucky and Virginia No Pitt is surprising... I'm way more excited about the staff making his list then I was disappointed about missing out on Kofi. Oscar plays so hard. Ewing can do wonders with his high level Energy, effort, and athleticism. With Stewart, Tshiebwe, Igiehon, and others, Coach Ewing is giving us insight on his type of Big's he prefers. What do they all have in common. They all play really hard, high energy, are very athletic, and run the floor like gazelles. I'm sure if he comes on a visit McClung will be his host.

West Virginia, Baylor, Ole Miss, Kansas, Illinois, Georgetown, Kentucky and Virginia Just a quick look at his list...Kentucky hasn't offered yet and Kansas is really really deep upfront. Obviously West Virginia is favored to get his service but you never know...

I had seen more stuff online connecting him to West Virginia over the last few months and had not heard much about Georgetown. Kentucky and Kansas might both be a reach/dream school for him, so I think the school to be worried about is West Virginia. He does seem like the type of player that Bob Huggins has every year. Tough and plays with a really high motor. I hope Coach Ewing can find a way to make him part of the program and continue to bring back more of the Hoya Paranoia mentality!!!!

Surprised. It might be a waste of time, but I’d go all in if I were the staff.
He will wreck defensive scouting reports with his ability on the offensive glass. Won’t need to have plays ran for him and he’ll still be a double-figure scorer. Unreal motor and elite on the glass. Doesn’t stay past his sophomore year.
Highlights don’t do him justice

Center: Oscar Tshiebwe
You could make a case that Oscar Tshiebwe had as good of a summer as anyone. At the adidas Summer Championships, Tshiebwe was dominant. His motor ran non-stop and he impacted the game with his activity level, physical play and rebounding. Tshiebwe consistently ran the court, dunked everything in the paint and was an enforcer around the basket. Arguably his best game was against James Wiseman and Hoop City, where he scored 24 points on 11-for-17 shooting and reeled in 13 rebounds. Tshiebwe is ranked No. 56 in the 247Sports Composite and No. 72 in the Top247. Expect a big rise when rankings are updated.

Sad to see that Kentucky made his final 8 when they haven't even offered him yet. The mental stranglehold that Calipari has over top talents is both amazing and highly disturbing.

I couldn't agree more. Several prospects will list Kentucky or Duke on their final list even though they haven't offered as if it's a wish list. Igiehon, Cockburn, and Tshiebwe have all done so just because at some point they received a phone call of interest from Kentucky. Coach Cal has seen Tshiebwe several times including during his high school team yet no offer. Kentucky has seen Igiehon and Cockburn several times this summer as they were recruiting their teammates and still never offered. Yet all 3 listed Kentucky on final list. Clearly all 3 are a back up plan for Kentucky if they miss out on Wiseman/others and are okay with that. Smh...It's a different generation (my get off my lawn moment).

I personally don't mind it.. No offer means that's one less school to worry about. Can't pick a school you don't have an offer from.

Agreed...except when prospects slows their recruiting process down just to pander to the school that hasn't offered. At the end of the day that's why school's offer so many prospects... Back to Tshiebwe, I actually think of the staff has a chance if they land a visit. West Virginia is obviously the interpreted leader but with these kids, you never know.

Would be a huge get if they can pull it off. Thought he would already be committed to WVU right now so maybe he isn't as high on them as public information suggests..

Exactly the reason why I think there is a chance here

I really like his motor. Just what this team could use. Won't slow down the pace and does yeoman's work on the offensive boards. I would love for us to get Oscar.

With much of college basketball rocked by allegations of severe violations, Pitino getting fired & speculation that more programs are under possible investigation the HOYAS have a pristine reputation & a coach that is financially set and clearly gunning for a title.
Plus he is PATRICK EWING. IMO the Hoyas will land an elite big man (or two).

That coach from Illionis must be one hell of a recruiter.

If you look at the history of Oscars tweets, he seems to have solid religious foundation. Catholic High School to Catholic University. i DOES make sense.

I’m not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere on here before but Oscar and Mac are pretty tight. Or at least they were over the past year. From what I was told, Oscar spent much of last summer staying in Gate City at the Mcclung house working out with Mac. I even seen Mac, Zac and Oscar on the football field throwing the pigskin around one evening. There were even rumors of Oscar transferring to Gate City and staying with the Mcclung’s as an exchange student which obviously never worked out. Would love to see Oscar end up at Georgetown
