A recruit commits to Georgetown. A new Athletic Director. A "facilities vs. coaching thread". Two players jump off the fence and back onto campus.
And now you're starting an "Esherick got a job" thread?
You're TRYING to crash the server, aren't you?
Spread it out man...we gotta make it until mid-October here! It's bad enough with all this movement in threads by the time I get home from work all the arguments are 6 pages long and way past "your mother wears Army boots".
Happy for the man who coached the Hoyas to the one and only tourney appearance in my time. Hope that works out for him. I aspire one day to be Vice President of something ambiguous sounding that probably pays me a lot of money.

BTW, love the quote in your signature, FL, but I would think that taco salads from Taco Bell would slow him down. I tend to think that anything from Taco Bell is foul.

Congratulations to Craig! A long time Hoya who made many contributions as a player, asst. coach, and the first couple years as HC were not bad. He is an alumnus of the College and the Law School.
Even though he worked very hard as the HC, we all realize it was time for him to go and for GU to make a change. That was a tough time for everyone. But we got a good coach in JT3! and things are looking up.
Everyone deserves a second chance. I wish Craig the very best in his new career.

Great move and congratulations, Esh! It was time to leave the HCs to others.

I happy for Esh. He is a great man, and I appreciate his contributions to this program as a player, recruiter and assistant coach. His head coaching tenure wasn't the greatest. But I applaud his efforts. Nobody can question his love for this school and the game of basketball. He gave it his all. I wish him well and much respect. Always a Hoya. Always Blue and Gray.

I don't see personal assistant to Craig Esherick on that list - make up your own mustache ride joke associated with that job. But, anyways I wish Craig well in his new job - he didn't work out following JTII but he has always been a friend of GU and its always good to have alumnuses and alumnae in high places.

Jersey, I strenuously object:
The Club Chalupa is delicious.

Sounds like a pretty chill position until he finds the right coaching job (maybe something local or at least in VA, where his wife practices law, although her lisence could probably transfer over to some other states).

I HAVE to ask the most appropriate question of the day. What exactly is this job? VP of Athletic Relations?!?
The guys has worked at one place his whole life...probably doesn't have too many relationships in the business or else he wouldn't be cold calling schools with his resume...
This whole article is screaming out with the key question...what is this job/what are the qualifications/who else was up for it?
