When we actually start winning. The BUZZ is already building. Next step , win some games. Coach Ewing and staff are grinding and it'll pay off soon. Like beating a team like NOVA or someone in the non conference who will get to the sweet 16. Win games, create more buzz and make this is university of choice in the . This year's team beat Butler and Seton Hall, which both came very close to reaching the Sweet 16, and should have beaten Syracuse, which (gag) did get to the Sweet 16.

True, I should have specified more like a big time program. You are completely right there.

This is where making the NCAA tournament next year is so key. It helps to build buzz, it tells a story of improvement (NCAA in Ewing’s second year!), and it will make recruiting easier.

My son says UVA is where he wsnts to go. Lets see how much he knows. It appears the Hoyas are going to miss on this kid, which is a shame because he is the type of local talent they need to find a way to successfully recruit. It sounds like he has been recruited by Virginia for a few years and has built a strong relationship with that staff, so it was probably hard for Coach Ewing to break through with him. That excuse works for some kids in the '19 recruiting class but that won't continue to work for kids in '20 and beyond. The staff seems to be working hard and building those relationships and will hopefully see those positive results in the near future.

prime of example showing up late to the party. Didn't feel like staff didn't show enough love with him or Anthony Harris..... They need to defintely step it up with the locals. I felt like the 2019 class was a good class to make some noise.

I felt like the 2019 class was a good class to make some noise. He sure got a lot of attention this past summer and Pat and other coaches went to one or more of his games. Virginia does a good job developing its guards and does it in a way similar to Villanova. Brogdon and others have done well with this model. Hopefully, Georgetown will pick up this reputation over time. What Patrick was seeming to lean toward was a more open pushing style of play, as well as more pressure defense that presses much of the game (Hoyas were using this fairly well, with the players they have, during the last month of play). I don't know that this style fits Morsell's game. Morsell is really good, but seems like Virginia is a better fit with style of play.

Their initial contact did not predate Pat's hiring. The DP: I know assistant coach Jason Williford was the first coach to recruit you. How and when did he first make contact, and how has that relationship built up from the start?
Morsell: “It was, I want to say, this time last year. I would say at the end of the month, though. I would say around the end of April, he started reaching out last year. He would just introduce himself, and ever since then our relationship has grown.”
This is just a recruiting loss. www.dailyprogress.com/cavalierinsider/q-a-d-c-guard-casey-morsell-goes-in-depth/article_61f367ea-38d1-11e8-a8ae-5f216aa93683.html
