Players leaving the program has always happened. I don't know why he's leaving. I liked his game and thought he had a lot to offer if given the opportunity. We've got a load of new players coming in, and I wish the very best for Grayson Carter. He was the first recruit for 2018. He had a great attitude and did what he was asked to do. Now he is moving on or not, and we must do the same. I am still very excited about the Hoyas prospects going forward!!

... and people wonder why we limit status speculation about specific current student athletes ... But isn't the speculation in this case relevant since Gtown was over its scholarship limit? Just take the L.

Here's hoping things work out well for Grayson, wherever he chooses to go. Seems like a good guy. Didn't get a lot of minutes, but he had his moments. From my distant vantage point, nothing but positives. Good luck to the young man.

Really liked what little we saw of Grayson. I think he has a nice combination of outside shooter and surprisingly able to defend at the rim (surprising for a big who is a shooter). I'm sad he's chosen to transfer, but I do wish him the best of luck whereever he chooses.

Respectfully, I think we've all said our piece and got his one covered. Time to shut it down and move on to the next cray-cray topic for OCD Hoya fans...!

Whether it's relevant or not isn't really the issue, right? Isn't it because the board doesn't want to be the vehicle for either (a) making private decisions about someone's status as a student public or (b) spreading possible misinformation?

Can we just build a statue to him outside of CapOne right now and a place in Springfield?

When Milton Bell and Michael Tate-Vinson transferred, my memory is that HoyaTalk board only got up to 11 and 13 pages, respectively. We need to let this one go...breathe deep...let it go...

Vee perhaps had the best dance number during his intro at Hoya Madness. He was smooth doing the robot to Play at Your Own Risk. Nice floater too!

Can we just build a statue to him outside of CapOne right now and a place in Springfield? We’ll have to find some space between the Matt Causey, Drew Hall, and Tony Bethel statues.

When did Grayson Carter become the next Chosen One? Macklin didn’t even get this kind of love when he transferred. Can we just build a statue to him outside of CapOne right now and a place in Springfield? Is there a need for this? I mean, people are wishing the kid well and saying basic gracious things. There's no place left for that on this board?

There's no place left for that on this board? First off, I would lighten up it was clearly a joke and a reference to the absurdity of this thread at this point... Secondly, have you read the thread? I am missing the "grace" in all the posts that speculate him being recruited over, scholarship yanked, forced out, and comments about numerous other players not named Grayson. You're right this thread should be a respectful and graceful send off for the kid and the rest should have been discussed in the "Ewing' approach" thread yet that didn't happen (of course) but for this to be the remark in this thread for all that has been said that has no place here...that's well...kind of laughable don't you think...

Between the first and second posts I quoted, the posts (when discussing Grayson) have been complementary and gracious. Besides, he's mocking the people who are saying nice things about Grayson, not the people who are engaging in speculation.

Personally, I am waiting to hear what Grayson chooses for his next move, and am ready to congratulate him. Good young man. Hope for the best for him.

He never looked like a high major prospect to me. His tape was very underwhelming. I think he will have success at the lower level.
