Keyshawn Johnson? I find that hard to believe. He'll probably attend USC.

The 6-foot-8, 220-pound power forward has helped lead Perry Hall (Md.) to the state semifinals this weekend and has averaged 12.6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks along the way. Kansas is the most recent school to reach out to Walker. Heβs also been in contact with Oklahoma State, Arizona State, UMass, UConn, Illinois, Butler and Seton Hall in the past couple months. Four scholarship offers are in and they come from Buffalo, VCU, St. Bonaventure and Drexel. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/walker-creating-some-high-major-buzz-as-travel-season-approaches

When that happens, one name to keep an eye on is 4-star point guard Adrian Baldwin. Baldwin, the No. 14 point guard and No. 69 player in his class, is a defensively adept point guard and is a good distributor. His high school coach in Baltimore, Nick Myles, told Phenom Hoop Report in July that Baldwin was βthe most underrated guard in his class.β βWhen needed, he has the ability to carry your team by scoring,β Myles told Phenom Hoop Report. βHis best attribute is his defense. He is a tenacious defender who can affect the game defensively in the same manner as his offense.β Williams has targeted guards early the last couple of years, including 5-star point guard Coby White in the Class of 2018 and 4-star point guard Jeremiah Francis in the Class of 2019. Baldwin doesnβt have an offer from the Tar Heels, but he has garnered some early interest, including a visit to Chapel Hill in November. In a recent interview with Rivalsβ Dan McDonald, the St. Frances Academy star said that he kept an eye on the Tar Heels this season and that he β[likes] how they use their point guards and play real fast.β Itβs not surprising to see the mutual interest, but the real noteworthy information from McDonaldβs piece was Baldwinβs assessment of the other schools heβs looking at. He has just six offers: UConn, Drexel, Kansas State, Miami, Rutgers and VCU. But also on the list of schools that Baldwin discussed were Kentucky and Villanova. Baldwin visited Villanova in September, so his interest there isnβt surprising. But Kentucky is an interesting name to monitor once his recruitment picks up. He also discussed a few schools that heβd like to hear from. That list includes Duke, Kansas and Maryland. Maryland makes a lot of sense for Baldwin, given the in-state ties, and he said he would have a chance to play for the Terrapins as a freshman. With a strong showing with Team Thrill on the AAU circuit this summer, Baldwin could see a real uptick in his recruitment. www.diehards.com/north-carolina/basketball-recruiting-adrian-baldwin-update-tar-heels-roy-williams

The 6-foot-6 forward has all of the tools and talent to become one of the more coveted prospects in the 2020 class. Newton fits the mold of a multi-positional prospect that can shoot, handle and defend. His early recruitment is already promising as he holds offers from Xavier, Kansas State and Maryland. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/evans-takeaways-metro-challenge-60

St. Josephβs β Known mostly as a scorer, Bishop really looked improved as a point guard at the event. With good quickness and a fairly explosive first step, Bishop was getting into the lane and instead of shooting, he would find open teammates and set up buckets. Also Bishop as usual showed he could score from deep, but it was his improvement as a facilitator that really stood out. Woody Newton, SF/PF, Mt. Zion Prep β Arguably the top long term prospect at the event was Newton. At around 6-foot-7 with really long arms and good athleticism, Newton is the type of versatile forward who is all the rage in todayβs positionless basketball. Newton can handle the ball, has a pretty good stroke out to the three point line, and also can beat his man one on one off the dribble. Now Newton just needs to continue to get stronger, but there is no doubt that he can be one of the best forwards in the country before it is all said and done. Myles Stute, PF, Gonzaga β There might not have been a more impressive individual performance than the one Stute delivered during the Metro Challenge. Stute, who is a near elite athlete, absolutely caught fire from three. He was raining in shots from all over, and looked the part of a high-major player. Stute has been inconsistent at times, and is a bit undersized, but with his athleticism if he continues to shoot like he did on Saturday he has a chance to be playing at a very high level. 247sports.com/Article/Many-of-the-top-prospects-in-the-DMV-got-together-for-the-Metro-Challenge-116643399

Walker made his Rivals150 debut for good reason. He is one of the best frontcourt defenders on the East Coast and also has a budding skillset that should make him a capable two-way producer in college. Odds are he will be ranked even higher in the Rivals150 following the July evaluation periods after playing with the Team BBC program on the adidas circuit. Seeing that Walker is a competitive prospect that has made tremendous strides within his game of late, I am buying stock now in the Baltimore native. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/2019-rivals150-analysts-weigh-in-on-updated-rankings-3

While he is still attempting to make the transition solely to the small forward position, Stute embodies all that you look for in a long-term prospect. A 6-foot-6 sophomore that competes like his life is on the line, can make shots to the perimeter, is a sneaky athlete at the basket, and is a willing defender that can guard up to three positions on the floor, Stute checks many of the boxes. Toss in the fact that he plays for one of the best 16-under teams in America, Team Takeover, and plays for one of the most respected high school coaches in America with Steve Turner at Gonzaga College High School, and one would expect for Stute to only get better as he ages. I am buying now into the entire picture that is Stuteβs profile as a high-major prospect that I am a bit afraid that we ranked him too low in the new Rivals125. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/new-release-updated-2020-rivals150-with-analysts-opinions

The class of 2019 power forward from Baltimore showed off a good combination of size, athleticism, and skill to lead Team BBC to a solid showing. During the summer, Anthony Walke r emerged as one of the more intriguing power forward prospects in 2019 when he hit the floor for Team BBC. Though he's skinny, Walker is a big-time athlete who can put the ball on the floor, has a jumper with potential and could eventually play as a stretch four or a small ball five man. After entertaining several offers, Walker is now down to eight finalists and has six visits, five official and one unofficial, set in place. Boston College, Illinois (Sept. 5), Kansas (Sept. 28, unofficial), Maryland, Miami (Oct. 5), Pittsburgh (Sept. 14), Rhode Island (Sept. 21) and VCU (Oct. 19). Walker -- who visited Pitt unofficially over the weekend -- has yet to set a timetable for announcing a decision and the Baltimore native will report to prep school powerhouse Brewster Academy after he finishes his official visit to Illinois. However, with the visits coming in this order he appears to be headed towards deciding in time to sign during the early signing period. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/starting-five-top-35-samuell-williamson-sets-visits
