Sorry, I've been a fan since John Thompson's beginning, and I don't remember him. Which coach did he play for and what's his first name? Thanks! Darrel "DJ" Owens.. He played 2 seasons for JT3, in my view Owens, Cook & Bowman don't get enough credit for Gtown's resurgence under JT3.. The team that ended the year in 05-06 might have been JT3's best team imo.. I would have loved to have seen another year out of that crew.. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/darrel-owens-1.html

DJ, Cook and Bowman will always have a special place on my personal Hoya mantle. Those guys could have easily left after the Esch debacle but they stayed and help build the foundation for the Final Four team. Great Hoyas, all three of them despite bad Brandon's big feet and DJ's back iron 3 against Florida.

Yes those were some challenging years and those guys did give us rays of hope after the Esherick debacle... we're on the upswing now I believe...a new day.

Those guys could have easily left after the Esch debacle but they stayed and help build the foundation for the Final Four team. Great Hoyas, all three of them despite bad Brandon's big feet and DJ's back iron 3 against Florida. Bowman, Owens and Cook providing senior leadership along with a very strong Sophmore class in Wallace, Green and Hibbert...That 2005-2006 Team was a really fun team to watch and terrible call away from a Final 4 run. If Corey Brewer was properly called for a travel instead of a ridiculous foul, who knows what that team would have accomplished. They were the only team to give that Florida team that ended winning back to back national championships a tough down to the wire game that first year. That bad call and a blown point blank layup in the last minute by Bowman changed a lot of history. Maybe Hoyas win back to back instead of Florida. IMO the 2 worst calls in Hoyas recent history is that foul call in favor of Brewer and UF instead of the travel in the 2006 Sweet 16 & the OBVIOUS CHARGE that Jeff Green took on Greg Oden in 2007 FINAL 4 game that was poorly called a block. Would have been Oden's 5th foul. Instead was Green's 4th foul and the way Hibbert and Wallace had it going that game... Ohh...what could've/should've been!

When Owens took that 3 I was certain it was going in. I was internally thinking wow they gave a great shooter a wide open look.

That was an epic play between Oden and Green. Theee forced 3s (some as a result of good Ohio state D ) led to a streak of Ohio st fast break points that put us away, combined with Hobert and greens fouls.
Great two years to be a Hoya.

"It was nice. I liked it," LeBlanc told Tiger Blitz. "I liked the visit as a whole and what they're trying to do there. They like how hard I play and my motor." Official visits to LSU and Texas A&M are still being ironed out. cbsprt.co/2fdIMk3

Good player.

Josh LeBlanc – Louisiana Elite – Elite 32
Vitals
6’7, 210, F 4-star rating, 247 composite ranking of #100 Latest Recruiting: Finished an official visit to Georgetown and is now is planning an official visit to Arkansas on August 25. He is down to Arkansas, Georgetown, LSU and Texas A&M per Billy Embody of Scout.com.
Quick Takeaway: LeBlanc impressed at the Elite 32 with his athleticism and versatility. He is a forward who can post up and score or fly in from the rafters for a tip dunk. His defensive versatility is what could be the biggest advantage for him at the next level as he can defend inside and out.

Josh LeBlanc, a 2018 6-foot-7 four-star forward, announced his final four schools which include: Arkansas, Texas A&M, LSU, and Georgetown. The Madison Prep Academy (LA) wing spoke with D1Vision on why he chose this final four.
“I chose these final four schools because I felt they would put me in the best situation,” LeBlanc stated.
LeBlanc, who had a solid performance at the Top-100 Camp in Virginia, also held offers from Cincinnati, Houston, Minnesota, and UAB before cutting his list.
LSU: “I really enjoy how serious they’re taking basketball, now that they have a new coaching staff.”
GEORGETOWN: “I like the academics that they have at Georgetown.”
TEXAS A&M: “I like the coaching staff that they have at A&M.”
ARKANSAS: “I like the style of play down at Arkansas.”
When asked about the coaching staffs of his final four schools, LeBlanc said, “It’s all the same, it’s very hard to describe each relationship.”
LeBlanc took an official to Georgetown last weekend, he confirmed to D1VISION. He is scheduled to officially visit Arkansas later this month (Aug. 26) and Texas A&M next month (Sept. 8). He is still in the process of scheduling a visit to LSU.
LeBlanc said he has no timeline on when he will make his decision.
While playing with Louisiana Elite on the Under Armour Summer Circuit this summer, LeBlanc averaged 13.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 17 games. 247Sports has LeBlanc ranked as the No. 88 player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 2 player from the state of Lousiana.

Arkansas took a punch to the gut prior to the July evaluation periods as it lost the gem to its 2018 class when Reggie Perry, now a Mississippi State pledge, backed away from his commitment. All is not lost in Fayetteville, however, as they have kept in tow a strong three-man class. This weekend, the Hogs will host two of their top targets from the 2018 recruiting cycle. Top-100 forward Josh LeBlanc begins his first official visit. The lethal rebounder and versatile defender would slide in nicely alongside already committed Ethan Henderson in the frontcourt, though LSU remains the program to beat. On Sunday, Mike Anderson’s staff will host top 2020 in-state recruit and likely top-50 prospect Moses Moody. The Hogs have already offered and prioritized the high-level scorer. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/conference-call-aug-26-aug-28-key-official-visits

"I actually believe in constructive criticism," Leblanc said. "That's how I grew up playing with my coach He always told us to stay humble and told us what we needed to work on." Leblanc said he originally thought of announcing his college decision on his birthday, Nov. 12. "I was going to do it on my birthday, but it will probably be later," he said. www.arkansasonline.com/news/2017/aug/25/leblanc-a-priority-for-razorbacks-20170/

LeBlanc has one more official visit scheduled at this point, but will also visit LSU. “On Sept. 8, I am going to Texas A&M,” LeBlanc said. “I am not sure yet when I am going to visit LSU yet. I still have to sit down and talk about that.” Three of LeBlanc’s final four schools are in the SEC. “I actually didn’t know that A&M was in the SEC,” LeBlanc said. “I knew LSU and Arkansas were.” LeBlanc knows there are some who expect he will stay home and play for LSU, who has a new coach, Will Wade. “There is no pressure,” LeBlanc said. “I like what they are doing over there and I like how serious Coach Wade is taking basketball. But I am going to go the best place for me.” www.wholehogsports.com/news/2017/aug/27/leblancs-visit-arkansas-far-exceeds-expectations/LeBlanc previously announced an announcement date of Nov. 12, which is his birthday, but that is up in the air now, as is whether he will ink a letter-of-intent in the early signing period. “I am not sure if it is going to be on the 12th anymore,” LeBlanc said. “The process is still the same. It is just going to be the best overall fit for me. It might be in the late period.”
