However good he is, we already have a Bey- Pickett. I have a feeling Osun is a major sleeper and who better to develope his raw talent than Patrick. Osun looks to me to be a whole lot better already than Sodom and with a bigger upside. Get him if possible, esp if Jesse leaves.

Some of the competition in that video looked weaker than Gate City’s competition that I saw in the playoffs. Hopefully, he has grown as he didn’t look to be 6’7”

Mitchell twins played with him as well last yr. Twins are going to Maryland next yr. Broadus is all over this kid I'm sure.

UMCP has already signed a top 40-50 SF for this class and Huerter and Morsell are both back as well as another pretty highly regarded incoming 2GD who signed this spring for '18...I would think he has a better opportunity for immediate p/t at Georgetown...

There’s a decent amount of buzz about Huerter possibly being a 1st round pick; he’s killing it at the combine so far.

Maybe...but the SF from NC coming in is rated higher than Bey, and they are set at 2 GD with Morsell and the high scoring kid they signed late...I think Bey could start for us at the 2 over anybody on our roster, and/or split time with Pickett at the 3...but, still don't know if there's mutual interest yet or whether there will be...I'd love to see it though...

I think Huerter is looking for a first round guarantee. Don't think it will happen.

Pickett and Bey are very, very different players.
And it's inane to compare Bey's competition to McClung's.

I like this write up they have on him, “He’s still a point guard,” Singletary told the paper. “He’s a great rebounder, has the ability to lead the break, can score from all three levels. He’s a very versatile player with great upside." We could stand to have a tall PG or even a big SG. www.zagsblog.com/2017/11/02/saddiq-bey-n-c-state/

If he was looking at the Ivies, and they were considering him, then he must be a strong student also. Hopefully the academic reputation of Georgetown helps out at this point, although he initially picked NC State, which is not often confused with an Ivy league school, so maybe the academics is not a big deciding factor for him.

He's not a SG. He's a versatile 3/4 type.

He's not a SG. He's a versatile 3/4 type. He's definitely not a 4. If anything he's a 2/3. He's probably not quick enough to guard 2's, though.

He will put on size and can play the 4 in small ball lineups in a pinch. Depends on the personnel he is with.
I think Huerter is viewed as a lock for the 1st round by NBA people. I wonder if that makes them more appealing to this kid. He does seem to factor in academics to a degree.

I’m a little underimpressed after watching the summer AAU video and considering he was only a 4th team All Met player. Perhaps a stretch to think he could contribute in his first two seasons.
