Yes, Antwan can play the 3 and the 2! He plays on the perimeter looking for a jumper....he's patient. I believe he will be great with coaching all of the skills are there....again, he has great hops, and a feathery jumper. Looks to be in great shape. Haven't heard much chatter about him on these pro boards but he's worthy!
Saw Chris Sodom today. He's slim lol..he's very fast getting up and down the court. He needs 25 lbs by November...no kidding. Great attitude and is every inch of 7-3. He will block a lot of a shots as he adjusts. If we can pick up a heavy weight beast to be a bull in the China closet (rebounding, brawn, and muscle) that will help us!!! Govan is the heaviest guy I've seen. And he seems most comfortable at the 3-point line...has that rainbow jumper. Mulmore looks good he's cool-headed. Jagan looks good.
Leaving, and outside, I ran into asst coach, Louis Orr,leaving the Thompson Center...he was not in the gym. Spoke with him briefly... He's a great guy!
It will take us some time, and a few players away (We need the beef)but I'm optimistic.

Looks like the form on his jump shot has improved ... dramatically ... not shooting from the chest!

Mulmore is a lot stronger now and more confident going to the basket.

I assume the guys not listed are just not on campus for Kenner. Both Mourning and Campbell have trained away from campus in the summer previously. We know that Dickerson is already training in California, maybe he decided to continue that, rather then come play Kenner. Both Mourning and Campbell are still listed on the GUHoyas roster. While none of the new-comers have been added. No cause for alarm yet, unless it turns out any of the three are missing due to injury. Dickerson will be here soon. Someone told me he's finishing some school work or something I don't know.

Any stats/reports from yesterday? Believe it or not, Kenner now has box scores on their web site. Not totally accurate, but way better than nothing.

Looks like the form on his jump shot has improved ... dramatically ... not shooting from the chest! Thought I had posted a similar thought earlier today but I guess i never sent it. Totally agree it appears he changed the mechanics of the shot and release point. It use to look like an old fashion push shot.

Gotta love that league box scores have some dudes listed only by jersey number...

I've been attending a couple of Kenner League games per year for the last couple of years but haven't been there so far this summer. In reading Casual's recap, I noticed they started out by saying that the level of competition in the league has been declining and "the quality of play is significantly lower than it was even 4 or 5 years ago."
I'd just like to throw this out for discussion because it I hate taking statements like that at face value and my experience doesn't tell me if it is true or not. So what do others think? Is the quality of play "significantly lower"?

Is the quality of play "significantly lower"? Things changed when they limited to 2 teammates on each team. Many years there are quite a few alums playing, but this year there are quite a few alumni playing in NBA Summer League. Hopefully next week or two the teams will improve with players coming back from Summer League. Vegas Summer League keeps getting longer, which may be a part of play being down a little. Also not all the Hoya players are healthy, here, or playing right now. Not as many GW, American, nor Maryland players this year so far. The last couple years the first week play and teams were lighter than they were the weeks that followed. Hopefully that continues this year. It is still fun and worth the price of admission (or hot dog).

There is nothing on earth that is worth the price your body pays for eating a Kenner League hot dog.
