Unranked, but not for long. Kid can go. Starting to look like one of the better wing scorers out there. Any chance at coming out a year earlier, we got room with immediate minutes?

Unranked, but not for long. Kid can go. Starting to look like one of the better wing scorers out there. Name: Ike Cornish Class: 2021 Position: Shooting Guard Recruitment: Xavier, VCU, Virginia Tech, DePaul, Georgia The Baltimore native is beginning to really explode on the scene, and he made a big impact for Legacy Charter school. At around 6-foot-5 with long arms, Cornish looks the part of a high-major wing physically, and his game backs it up. Most important, Cornish appears to be a very good shot maker from deep, with a release that is very smooth, and range that extends well beyond the three point line. Not a great athlete yet, Cornish is actually a solid rebounder, and also is getting better at attacking the rim. Still, what he does best is make shots from three, and there is no greater skill that colleges are looking for than that. He needs to get stronger, and get a better handling the ball, but there is a lot to like here, and Cornish is someone who should easily see a major bump in his ranking when they are next updated. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/ContentGallery/Michael-Foster-Jalen-Green-Jalen-Warley-Chick-Fil-A-Classic-Jaemyn-Brakefield-Duke-Blue-Devils-Ike-Cornish-141054273/#141054273_8

Ike Cornish, Legacy Early College (SC): The Maryland native has all kinds of good stuff to like about his game now and what he can become down the road. Cornish has been a trending player this month and has really raised his profile to a level that warrants an inclusion into the national top 100 for the class of 2021. There is a beast mode flavor to his game that will only get better and more refined. Cornish has drawn a lot of attention, all warranted, by schools from all levels this month. We will have more on him and his recruitment on HoopSeen.com. hoopseen.com/news/event/201912/slam-dunk-beach-saturday-notebook

HOUSE DROPS 31, POWERS MIDDLEBURG TO BRACKET TITLE Jaden House’s outside shot wasn’t finding the bottom of the twine, but that didn’t put a damper on his team’s biggest game to date of the 2019-20 season. The 2021 guard showed why he’s one of the most sought after recruits amongst local low and mid-majors in the Metropolitan area, dropping 31 points to power his Dragons past Western Branch, 84-75, and to the Boys Bracket #8 championship. For the game, House was 0-for-4 behind the arc but 12-for-17 from inside the arc and 7-for-9 from the charity stripe, spearheading an offensive attack that resulted in 52 points in the paint. “My shot wasn’t falling, so I just had to make sure I kept my team in it and make sure I get to the rack” House said. “My mindset is always attack mode.” Western Branch led 43-37 at the half and led by as many as eight in the third quarter, but that’s when Middleburg corralled itself and turned the tide, outscoring the Bruins 47-30 the rest of the way. And not long after the Dragons found itself down eight, House picked up his fourth foul. “Definitely learned we have to fight through things,” House said. “We haven’t really been tested this year. We’ve played a few teams that were pretty good but we came down here and didn’t think it was going to be a cakewalk and it surely wasn’t. Just learning how to be tough.” House, a 6-4 combo guard who has great frame at 6-foot-4, holds offers from DMV programs Howard, Mount St. Mary’s, James Madison, Old Dominion, and Georgetown to go along with Stetson. When asked what colleges like about him, House said: “They like how I’m a hard-nosed guard, a combo guard, and how I can play both sides of the ball.” www.dmvelite.com/news_article/show/1074154

Warley was going up against Jakai Robinson so safe to say the staff was there for him as well. We pick things up with the second game on the final day of action in this year’s National High School Hoops Festival, which is being held at DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, MD, and the big story here was the clutch outside shooting by 6’5 Jr Jakal Robinson from Ft. Washington (National Christian) MD. We’re talking about an athletic 3-man who knocked down a pair of threes in the final two minutes of the game and single-handedly was responsible for his team’s 63-60 win over Washington (First Love Christian) PA. The first one came with 1:50 left in the game, which tied the game at 60-60. Then, lightning struck again when he knocked down another three, which turned out to be the game winning shot with 22 seconds remaining. Robinson obviously has ice in his veins. But he also knows how to get his own shot and he proved to be one of the best outside shooters that we’ve seen all weekend, as is evident by the fact that he finished with 21 points and knocked 4-8 treys against First Love Christian. He also already has offers from schools like Oklahoma State, Connecticut, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Seton Hall, and St. Joseph’s. However, if he continues to play like this, we suspect that he will be one of the prime recruiting targets in the Washington, DC area a year from now. scoop3774.rssing.com/chan-30417528/latest.php

One of the premier names at this year’s Virginia Phenom 150, 2021 6’4 Jaden House was one of the prospects that stole the show, as he showed a tremendous upside with a blend of length, size, and ability to control the action on the floor.
House’s move to Middleburg Academy has been going well so far, as he has been able to showcase his array of skills on the court and it seems to be paying off. “I’ve definitely shown more range on my jumper, being able to shoot from farther outside the three,” House told Phenom Hoops. “And my role has been just being a leader, making sure that the team stays together all throughout the game.”
Already holding multiple offers, House received word that another program would be joining in his recruitment, an offer that certainly felt good receiving. Assistant coach Akbar Waheed from Georgetown had been expressing interest in House for some time and on December 21, the Hoyas pulled the trigger and offered.
“(It) felt good to get this one because of the way they play and just the atmosphere of Georgetown basketball,” House replied. “They just said that they want to get me on the campus as soon as possible and that they love my game with me being a strong guard and can play both the 1 or the 2.”
Georgetown now joins his list of offers that also include James Madison, Old Dominion, Stetson, Howard, and Mount St. Mary’s, with each one saying different things from each staff. However, all of them absolutely love the “dog mentality” that House possesses on the court.

While Clarke will likely reclassify, his current 2021 five-star peer, Michael Foster, will not. Foster was at one point committed to Arizona State, but he backed off of that pledge over a year ago. After completing his first two years of high school ball in Milwaukee, Foster is now attending Hillcrest Prep in nearby Phoenix. Could the Sun Devils land Foster's commitment twice? Never say never, but it is their in-state league rivals, the Arizona Wildcats, that have secured an official visit out of the top-10 forward. Not only will Foster be on campus the weekend of Sept. 27, but he will be joined by his two school teammates, Arizona commit Dalen Terry and top-50 wing Puff Johnson. Arizona is not the only program to schedule an official visit with Foster. Georgia, the dark horse, will get the chance to impress Foster the weekend of Sept. 20 when the campus will be buzzing with the Notre Dame football game. The work Tom Crean has become known for in the skill development category has definitely piqued Foster’s interest which is why the Bulldogs should be thought of as a legitimate landing spot. Others such as Florida State, Kansas and Marquette are also working on official visit dates but, barring anything unforeseen, odds are Foster will wait things out a little longer this time around before committing again. Where he lands remains in question, but Foster is the type of talent that should make an immediate impact on a contender. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/three-point-play-terrence-clarke-michael-foster-recent-commitsIt's still early and lots can change between now and whenever Phoenix (Ariz.) Hillcrest's five-star junior Michael Foster makes his decision. But for the time being, Tom Crean and Georgia look to be in very good shape and are putting forth the most effort into landing the versatile forward. Late last week, Crean was in Arizona to watch Foster play in the Hoophall West. Foster and Hillcrest -- who parted ways with coach Mike Bibby on Monday -- struggled some at times but he's proven plenty of times that he has an inside/out game that he can use to inflict lots of damage. When asked who was recruiting him the hardest, Foster pointed to Georgia. “Georgia right now," he said. "The visit was valid, I love what they are doing. They let their players do what they need to do to make the next level. So that’s valid to me.” Georgia's use of potential No. 1 draft pick Anthony Edwards has certainly caught Foster's eye as well. “They have a No. 1 prospect and they let a No. 1 prospect do No. 1 things," said Foster. "Seeing that means a lot." Foster doesn't yet have any timeline for deciding and he's interested in seeing who else wants to make a full run. As for Georgia, he wouldn't call them his outright leader but what he said has to be encouraging if you root for them. “They ride the hardest right now.” basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/three-point-play-michael-foster-vernon-carey-and-moreFoster’s recruiting is heating up as schools showing the most interest are Georgia, Michigan, Florida State, Arizona and USC, all of whom have offered. He holds over 20 offers from the likes of Maryland, Kansas, Ohio State, Michigan, Arizona, Florida State, Memphis, UCLA, Georgetown, Wake Forest, LSU, Arizona State, Texas A&M, Minnesota, Marquette, TCU, St,. Johns, Georgia and Houston, among others. Foster is still open at this point and has plans to take an official visit to Florida State after the season. Georgia’s head coach Tom Crean, LSU head coach Will Wade and Florida State assistant Steve Smith all made an appearance at the Chick-Fil-A Classic to check out Foster. Michigan head coach Juwan Howard has came on strong as of late this week. A bright future is ahead for the star 2021 power forward and the elite programs are quickly making him a prime target. www.zagsblog.com/2019/12/24/mike-foster-named-mvp-of-chick-fil-a-classic-gives-recruiting-update/
