Leaving Team Loaded and going to Team Takeover doesn't seem real good for us.

Undefeated in the Nike EYBL this spring with a spotless 12-0 record, Team Takeover picked up even more steam in Atlanta, thanks to the introduction of five-star center Armando Bacot to its roster. For anyone else, adding Bacot would be a humongous deal, but for the program out of the nation’s capital, it was a minor blip on the radar. Team Takeover ended the weekend by starting its bench five and didn’t give a minute to its starting five - and still won its game by over 20 points. The team consists of commits to Yale, Villanova and Virginia, along with two five-star centers, a Rivals150 junior, a five-star sophomore point guard and a slew of others that will likely lead successful college careers. It all adds up to arguably the deepest travel team the Nike EYBL circuit has ever seen. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/eybl-atlanta-evans-awards

Armando Bacot, a five-star prospect in the 2019 class, has been stuck on a final 10 for the past few months. Nothing has changed in recent weeks and while Duke was the perceived favorite for him during the spring months, momentum has been drifting in North Carolina’s direction. VCU, Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, Georgia and Duke should be seen as heavy contenders, too, but North Carolina is likely the favorite as July begins. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/twitter-tuesday-armando-bacot-vernon-carey-uconn-pitt

Corey Evans @coreyevans_10 Five-star big man Armando Bacot will transfer into IMG Academy this fall for his final year of high school ball, per source. Joins fellow five-star Jeremiah Robinson-Earl along its frontline

No team has ever gone undefeated in the Nike EYBL. Team Takeover is attempting to do just that this year - and chances are, it likely will. While defeating some of the best that the Swoosh circuit has to provide will be difficult, the amount of talent up and down the Team Takeover roster is impressive. If you want a shot-maker, you have Villanova-bound Justin Moore and Virginia recruit Casey Morsell. If you want a speedster that can make others better, you have five-star 2020 guard Jeremy Roach. Want scoring in the post? The team has two of the most polished back-to-the-basket post players in the nation in Hunter Dickinson and Armando Bacot. Travel director Keith Stevens has put together some strong squads in recent years, but this might be his best yet. The AOT Running Rebels have the best shot at knocking the D.C.-based program off, thanks to a heavy contingent of perimeter assets, including B.J. Boston, Isaac Okoro and Sharife Cooper, but Takeover might have too much firepower as they finish the summer of 2018 in dominating fashion. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/evans-seven-predictions-for-the-evaluation-period

“I have my top 10, but Kentucky has been reaching out and Georgia is another school that has been talking to me a lot,” Bacot said. “I plan on releasing my top five sometime in August, probably in the middle of August. I’ll probably make my decision after my official visits unless I just get that feeling before I’m done with them all. I plan on signing early." Bacot’s top 10 consisted of Duke, Georgetown, Kansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, UCLA, VCU, Villanova, Virginia and Virginia Tech. Of those schools, North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech had head coaches in attendance to see him on Saturday morning as did Georgia. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/mcdonald-s-takeaways-atlanta-tournaments-2

UNC fans feel he will be a Tar Heel. And they are convinced Anthony and he will play together in college.

No surprise here. Duke or UNC imo. How much does it help us with Stewart if Bacot picks Duke?

Although it seems Bacot is trending towards UNC, wonder how a Duke commitment would affect Stewart’s (if at all) as “experts” seem to think he’s a Duke lean at this point?

Sounds like he’s a UNC lean. And even if Duke landed him it’s not like they won’t take three 5 stars at a position.

All signs point to UNC, but we will see.. Yeah I know but one can still hope... Not reallly regarding Bacot, but it’s amazing how much national/ESPN coverage has been given to Kentucky and Duke’s international tours in the last two weeks. Not really a surprise, but it just shows how hard it is to go up against those schools for 5 Star recruits. Today these kids are thinking about their social media presence and marketing themselves prior to choosing a college. Getting a three minute clip package on sportcenter three months prior to their first game is basicallly every kids dream.
