Any final comments from from last snaps?...He has 4 more visits planned...Illinois, South Carolina, LSU, and Louisville..I was/am hoping that he would commit while here, or a day or so thereafter...in my experience, if he still takes all 4 visits, our chances diminish precipitously and would likely end up favoring Louisville with the last visit...we have the best academics, and its not even close...so if a degree from Georgetown matters, we have a big edge...we have immediate playing time as a likely starter with a roster that's taking shape..we have a HOF coach with NBA coaching experience and connections, we have a family atmosphere of returning NBA players, and a brand new practice facility on a beautiful campus in the nation's capital...we had a 5th year player last year who had great success and thoroughly enjoyed his time on the Hilltop...come on down, Mark (and family)...

Coach Ewing is offering an interesting and engaging peak into the process. A lot of these young players know each other and this chatter helps sell the program atmosphere..it's much more open than I've ever seen!

It's refreshing, isn't it? Really is making me think about a snapchat account -- an app that I think should remain the domain of people half my age. I would love to see the practices.
I think it can only help get recruits' attention. PE also seems like a lot of fun and that goes a long way to dispel the idea that he might not connect with those younger than him.

I snapped at him yesterday and said essentially that we'd love to have him as a Hoya. His reply "appreciate it, stay tuned" I expect there to be mass speculation about the meaning of his reply.

verbalcommits.com/schools/south-carolinaReally wondering if Alstork's next visit to South Carolina on the 13th is still happening? South Carolina just got a commit from 6'6" wing (2017) Justin Minaya out of NYC. That commit put them +1 over the scholarship allotment so somebody is leaving willingly or the United Airlines way. Be shocked if they can find room for Alstork as well but slimy coaches will find away in mid to late May to get it done.

With SC's latest commitment, I have to believe it is between us and Louisville...although Coach Underwood at Illinois could surprise everyone. I hope we can pull it out because he would be an important piece on next years team but those are tough coaches to go against.

If we land Alstork, do people think we're a tournament team next season?

If we land Alstork, do people think we're a tournament team next season? Too many questions still to be answered (quality of newcomers, improvement of Mosely/Mulmore, new coach concerns, do we add another? Waters?). But including a scoring SG/wing like MA, I think there's enough pieces on the roster that a tourney bid is definitely possible. Way too early estimate w/o seeing them all play together... 30% chance.

Based on the Kenner reports every year, I am confident in August of a national championship.

If we land Alstork, do people think we're a tournament team next season? Waters AND Alstork - yes - which shows how overblown the hysterics about JT3 were.

If we land Alstork, do people think we're a tournament team next season? Yes, even w/o Waters. Player improvement all around, new energy, Ewing-esque effort by the team, Walker and Blair surprise, and the new defense and new offense will all lead to the Tournament. If Delgado leaves SH for the NBA, add two wins. All aboard!!!

Alstork Snap Report: Arrived in Champaign, Illinois earlier today to begin his 3rd official visit and was greeted at the airport by Head Coach Brad Underwood and an assistant coach. He was greater online by several tweets, graphics and emojis of welcome him to the campus for his visit.
On the drive from the airport, coaches apparently gave him a copy of their local newspaper to peruse which appeared to have a sizeable write up about Alstork's visit and on how important it is to the program. Can tell the social and news media love is important to him. He thanked an Illini fan for suggesting where to have lunch when he got there and stated (paraphrasing) the food was really good.
Next clip is them taking a tour of the athletic facilities and showed him all the athletic equipment the athletes get from Nike. Next he put on some of the gear and went onto the practice court for his individual workout. Either the coaches worked him extremely hard or his brother just documented much more of his workout then what he did at Pitt and Georgetown. It appears to me he is getting fatigued from all the travel, his own late night workouts, and the workouts the schools are putting him through. His energy level didn't seem as high throughout this workout as it did at Pitt and Georgetown. Seemed slightly sluggish.
Obviously it's a bunch 10-30 video segments streamed together so even as much as Alstork's posting (it was a lot today) we aren't being shown everything so it's hard to really make viable assumptions. So take mine with a grain of salt.
Snap ends with him back at his hotel room looking pretty tired drinking a Gatorade.

Not getting better Nike gear than the Jordan stuff the Hoyas get. Now we have great practice facilities to boot. I like our chances against Pitt or Illini.
