To be fair, she didn't take 1000 spots, only one. Fair enough, though her presence in the class will have an outsized impact. I am still content to say i could find 1000s of better candidates for that one seat. I bet you could find less qualified ones that are also admitted, if you cared to look..

I tend to recall a story that David Eisenhower (grandson of President Eisenhower and husband of Julie Nixon) applied to GW Law School under a pseudonym so that his name could not be a factor in his admission.

She graduated from UPenn with a double major. Do we know her grades and LSAT scores? That's the only way to know if she is qualified.

Isn't Tiffany the daughter Trump had with his mistress Marla Maples?? It's rumored that she doesn't have the best of relationships with her father, so it's possible that she is nothing like her father and her half siblings...Give Her A Chance!!! HA!

Just attended my son's graduation ceremony from GULC this Sunday. A beautiful setting on Healy lawn which brought back many memories --good and bad--about the Georgetown law school experience. As a person of mixed race I was concerned in advance that the controversial commencement speaker was a former law professor, Charles Lawrence III and an aggressive advocate of critical race theory. He was cheered by most and booed by a few for his comments on the issue of race relations and the role of Georgetown University. However, despite the mixed reception, after the ceremony it did not even register as a blip on the radar of the crowd of happy graduates and their loved ones.
What impressed me the most about the day was not the words of the speaker or the actions of the crowd, but the faces in the crowd. Never have I seen a more diverse group at any major Georgetown law school event. So many different nationalities, and ethnic and racial groups represented. Graduating students from 70 different nations. Students from very different backgrounds. It was a true melting pot and it made me proud that my son was a part of this group of future lawyers who will represent our university.
There is room at GULC for Ms. Trump. I do not give a damn about her father or her LSAT scores (assuming that they are not blatantly out of line with others in the class). Some of the worst lawyers I have ever encountered had scores in the ozone layer. Her presence and last name will not cheapen Georgetown's name. She is just one more among countless children of political and business leaders who have attended before. I believe that their presence at the law center actually enriched the experience for many of us who would otherwise not have met individuals from such divergent backgrounds. If she has a profile that fits within the general community of newly admitted students for 2017, I welcome her and the contribution she will hopefully make to promoting the diversity I saw represented on Sunday.

It took articles about her admission for me to realize that GULC has finally dropped out of the T14, which is mortifying to me.
Yes, I know that the USNWR methodology changes have affected the school, but it still doesn't make sense to me that GULC has constantly scraped by at the bottom of that list, and is now off of it completely. Our clerkship and job placements are atrocious.
