A source says he has committed to GU.

He's posted a video on X thanking TCU and wearing Hoyas jersey.

This is interesting because Micah Peavy committing to Georgetown is good news for the Georgetown program.

Hopefully the good news with Peavy will keep going with a Mack commitment soon.

Hopefully the good news with Peavy will keep going with a Mack commitment soon. I like Peavy's defensive "want-to" as Cooley would put it

WTH?? Did you all see this coming? Love Trez and hate this news. I am really surprised by this. I assume he must feel he can get a better NIL deal somewhere else. He certainly did not want for playing time last year, he played pretty the entire game unless he was in foul trouble. I recently saw something on line that he was getting some NIL/endorsement deal for something through Georgetown, so this is puzzling.

If you believe the rumor mill - once Peavy got big NIL and Epps renegotiated, Styles tried to do the same unsuccessfully.

He certainly did not want for playing time last year, he played pretty the entire game unless he was in foul trouble. I recently saw something on line that he was getting some NIL/endorsement deal for something through Georgetown, so this is puzzling. I would imagine Styles playing time would drop a bit between Peavy (time from Styles and Epps) and freshman shooters coming in. Styles didn't really have depth behind him last year. But, also had a point guard who couldn't find him on the court while wide open and staring at him (Styles had a few games with 3 to 5 touches in a half where he played nearly all 20 minutes), that should get fixed this year. Styles last year was also covering 4s on defense in battles he had no chance in and spending a lot of energy on. The struggles last year and likely minutes reduction may have been part of the push. The NIL side, every player is different from a need and expectation perspective and insanely difficult to predict or gage the full reasons. I was looking forward to having Styles shooting and working with a better point guard, but also helping bring up the young wings as solid future Hoya stars in the Cooley program.
