Done! Thanks for all the work you do in the recruiting world @yaboynyp Illinois message boards indicate they think Archie could be headed there. It does seem like Illinois is getting some better players. The freshman guard they have this year is a really good player. You add Cockburn and possibly this transfer and then you are talking about some real talent. Not sure how it is working because if they don't start winning some conference games you would have to think that Underwood would be on the hot seat out there, and while I am sure he is a good coach he does not seem like the most "lovable" type of guy!!!

Good chance he gets the year back. He played on the same AAU team as Grayson Carter fwiw. Stats were ugly when he did play but small sample size, coming off injury etc..

I remember liking Phillips so I’ll have to go back and take another look. We are certainly in need of wings and he appears to have a good blend of skills. Plus if he could enroll this semester, practice with the team and apply for a medical waiver could start next season as a RS Freshman; that’s enticing.

For those who don't remember, JT3 heavily recruited him. Wonder if there's any mutual interest at this point- could be a guard heavy rotation next year and he might want to go somewhere with starting minutes which I don't think we have available for the first time in a decade.

Perhaps, Ewing can sell him the Malinowski affect. He'll pretty much be the 6th off the bench, and pushing towards starters minutes on the floor.

Do we have any players that could possibly be grad transfer eligible? Not looking for wild speculation but a kid like Jagan could very well have graduated after 3 summers and 3 years. I hope he finishes his career with Hoyas but with how this stuff works now, I would assume coaches are ready for these possibilities.

It is exceedingly difficult for any student, much less student athlete, to complete 120 semester hours in six semesters. I'm not aware of a single basketball player that has done so.

Without thinking too hard about it, Jalen Brunson. Many athletes also take classes every summer -- and online classes. It's not that rare.
