Maybe like a really good/better version of Kaleb? I read these analysis and think Bonzie Colson. Which makes me a little nervous knowing ND is in his final 6.... That's potentially a good comp. I like the potential comparison of his namesake Grant Williams (Tennessee/Boston Celtics) a little better. I think their games and skill sets are comparable. T Will has a long way to go to be as good as Grant Will but I do see a lot of similarities as both can play off the bounce a little and have nice stroke from the perimeter and neither are timid inside the key...

Good call - Grant Williams is exactly the guy I think of every time I watch Terrance Williams play. It would be great if we get Williams. his super high skill level combined with his physical strength and hoops IQ will all play extremely well at the college level. And being a bit undersized is no big deal for college. Plus he probably won't be considered a big time NBA prospect even if he plays really well in college, because he is not an explosive athlete and he is undersized for a 3/4 - so he is likely to stay in college longer than a similarly productive player who is a higher level athlete. The staff has been pretty locked in on Williams this spring/summer, hopefully it pays off

Grant Williams is a good comp. But that's probably a ceiling. I think he's an important recruit for perception moreso than for immediate impact.

It’s an interesting recruit because he’s not the prototype Ewing is generally targeting.

Did I hear that Williams was going to make a commitment soon after PeachJam? Does anyone know if there is an update on when he will decide. For a while it looked like things were heading toward a Hoya commitment and I was not sure if that was still the feeling on the street. He would be a great start to an important '20 class

For a while it looked like things were heading toward a Hoya commitment and I was not sure if that was still the feeling on the street. He would be a great start to an important '20 class After having his list finalized for months, T-Wil got an offer from Michigan at Peach Jam and has added them to his list. Before adding Michigan to his finalists, speculation was that the Williams family was internally down to Georgetown, DePaul and Notre Dame and the Hoyas as the perceived leader. It looks like T-Will and his family are interested in at least hearing Michigan's sales pitch before any future moves. Maybe we'll see another cutoff list down to three or four programs in August and a final decision in late September early October. Or maybe he makes a decision this week, who really knows outside the Williams camp...

Keep an eye on Terrance Williams. A Rivals150 forward that has remained a steady producer this summer, Williams originally took early official visits to Stanford and Virginia. In recent months, both sides have seemingly backed away which has given greater room for DePaul, Georgetown and Notre Dame to step forward as legitimate landing spots for him. He has taken official visits to all three programs and there was once a thought that he would end his college recruitment before the July evaluation periods. Of course, that did not happen but one could still be made in the coming weeks with the Hoyas garnering most of the talk in recent weeks. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/twitter-tuesday-okla-st-aims-high-jalen-suggs-indiana

irishsportsdaily.com/s/9963/top-2020-hoops-target-terrance-williams-talks-upcoming-decision-moreHe’s close to cutting that list to one. “Hopefully by the end of this summer or the beginning of August,” he said when asked a timeline for a decision. “It’ll help me focus on the high school season, which I want to do my senior year in order to accomplish my goal of winning another state championship. With that off the radar, it’ll help me focus on the championship more.” Williams will huddle with those closest to him to figure out how his favorites stack up against each other. “Me and my family will have a big sitdown, talk to my coaches and we’ll just dissect every school and see which one fits the best,” he said.

And this is what he said about former HS teammate Prentiss Hubb (who plays for ND):
“I’m very close to him,” Williams said. “That’s a big factor in the decision."
“He just tells me how good Notre Dame is and how we could be a good duo like we were in high school.”

You should absolutely not pick a college program because your high school buddy is there.
