Student attendance will be at an all-time low for a BE game.

Tough crowd! I will take all of the wins this team can get. Hopefully DePaul at home is one of those victories. I would like to see the Hoyas take control from the outset and run away with this one.

If we lose to DePaul, do we get the first draft pick? Oh, wrong league. Never mind.

If we lose to DePaul the line to the exits will be long.

If we lose to DePaul the line to the exits will be long. The lines to get in are short, so the exit lines cannot be that long.

People keep being delusional about our "talent" level. Talent is meaningless without any skills.

People keep being delusional about our "talent" level. Talent is meaningless without any skills. Sorry, but it's a lot more talented than 14-13. Top 5 is absurd (unless the poster meant top 5 of the conference), but this is a team that should have been ranked in the top 25 the entire season. It's an utter failure of leadership that we are barely .500 (and perhaps not even that at end of season) for the second straight season. Put a better coach (heck, even a good coach) in charge of a team with Peak, Pryor and Govan and we have five more wins this season, at least. Those players may not be the most complementary (again, whose fault is that?) but they are undeniably talented and should have this team in a much better position.

Those players may not be the most complementary (again, whose fault is that?) but they are undeniably talented and should have this team in a much better position. Obviously there's no way to disprove your hypothetical, but I think it's probably over-optimistic for the following reasons. Pryor and Peak are already having good seasons, and Govan has been pretty good too. Really, I just think our other guys are not good enough. Yes, a different coach might put on different schemes, etc. (and I think the defensive difference would actually be larger than offense, potentially), but the players are still the same. I mean look at our team. Aside from Pryor (41.7%) and Govan (43.3%), nobody else is shooting threes at a good rate. Derrickson is at 37%, and everyone else is below 35%. Would another coach magically come in and make these guys better? Maybe but I really doubt it. Now, I know your response will be, "Well, JT3 recruited these guys!" and I agree, he did, and I think that's a fair criticism, though not the point of our discussion. But, this is a team that should have been ranked in the top 25 all season? That's absurd. We aren't even close to playing that well. We basically have two good offensive players (Pryor and Peak), and a few that are good but not great (Govan, Derrickson), and then everyone is simply isn't good including the point guards and our role players (Kaleb, Cameron, etc.) I mean, look at a team like Creighton towards the bottom of the top 20: they have seven players with offensive efficiency over 110. We have three (and if Derrickson continues on his recent path, we will be at two really soon)! Or look at Xavier - they have 5 guys with offensive efficiency over 110. Or Wichita State, ranked 25th, which has seven players over 110 offensive efficiency. Or Butler, which has 6 players over 110. Obviously, this is one offensive stat, and there are many other factors but it is a clear way of simply showing that of the teams that have been hovering around the bottom of the top 25, nearly all of them have a lot better offensive players than we have. And, I find it hard to believe that a different coach would suddenly drastically turn our 3 good offensive players into 6+ good offensive players. As I said, it's fair to criticize JT3 for recruiting them, but for the purposes of this discussion, it's really not relevant.

Does attendance break 4,000? Lines for beer and bathrooms should be short.

I think it breaks 4,000. I'm sure that the Athletic Dept. is sponsoring some major givaeway simply to devalue the price I pay for my season tickets in order to fill seats. . .
