Markel had a much better handle, could get to the hole and play it off the glass, much better jumper. No, he didnt dunk, but he ran the team well and was very quick. No, he didn't dunk. They are two different players. No complaints about Jagan, but I liked Markel's game more. With Jagan, a money jumper would elevate his game quite a bit. Hes got a lot going for him as a leader and heart. It was seemingly a hundred years ago we actually watched Jabril Trawick develop. But that did happen and it does happen. Hoping for more 4-year guards including Jagan.

Jagan led the last 5-10 minutes plus the OT's. The first 25-30 minutes I thought he tried to do too much - too many forced drives ending in off balance floaters, and turnovers from telegraphed passes. Hopefully he looks at the film and realizes the Jiggy from the last part gets more minutes and leads this team to better performances.
And don't force the jumper - but don't hesitant, shoot it if you are open!

Etomic’s post has a link to some tweets, may not be loading for you, from 247hoyas mentioning the ankle. Rest stretch and get back at it kid - we need your onions out there

Markel was still trying to develop a floater. Of course Markel was a better shooter than Mosely.

Mosley displays all the qualities of a leader on the court. His flaws--outside shooting, careless turnovers and trying to do too much at times are all correctable by the coaching staff. His game has noticeably improved in recent weeks and while there is still the occasional mad rush into the lane, this is a kid that coaches love, fans love and teammates want to play with. He is going to be a cornerstone of the resurrection of the program.

There is no comparison at this stage on the offensive end of the court.....Right now you are ecstatic if Jagan gives you 10pts. With Kel after his freshman yr you expected 10pts.....Kel was a solid defender but Jagan is better. But the gap is much closer on the defensive side than on the offensive side....

Starks could stroke it and had a tight handle. Mosely is more athletic and a better defender. Jagan is coming on though and has two more seasons.

No, I didn't write to start Jagan over Markel. Markel was more of a point guard. Both did different things at the point guard position. Markel didn't have a floater. Jagan does. Markel didn't attack the basket like Jagan does. Markel played around on the perimeter with the ball tooooooo much. Markel was a pretty good defender but took no charges like Jagan. I've been watching Markel play ever since he was 5/6 years old. lol

Wright was waaay better than Starks in high school. Never said he wasn't. Chris put up big numbers to be a Mickey D's AA. They both played the same way in high school is why they weren't true point guards is what I'm saying.

Although Jagan made a catastrophic miztake near the end of last game he had up to that point played a good floor game leading the team.
Keep working young man.
