I can't find a thread on him other than welcoming him when he committed. Seems as good an excuse as any to start one.

Jagan seems like a kid who will work his butt off from April to October. We seem to forget he is only a freshman sometimes. If he develops his shot, he will be a strong contributor.

Where's that frosh guard who penetrated through the lane and attempted to tear down the rim twice in the same game a couple of weeks ago? I'm concerned he's suffering from the consistent inconsistent attitude surrounding our program.

I'm concerned he's suffering from the consistent inconsistent attitude surrounding our program. Huh? The inconsistency was his aggressiveness that one game. I liked the aggressiveness too. Generally speaking, guys that get stuffed by the rim tend to not try to replicate that. I know you don't like the coach but this is a convoluted way to go about expressing it. More importantly, Jagan is improving over the course of the season and it's easy to see the work he's putting in on his body. I'm really optimistic about the player he's going to become. For all of the people that miss the dog in Jabril, I think Jagan has a bit of that. It's not often that you see a freshman put that on full display but I think we've seen glimpses from Jagan.

Nope, this time I was just writing about Jagan, but nice try. I want him to try those slamma jamma dunks more than only in one game over a stretch of 5 or more games. That has nothing to do with JT3. It would send a message to the other teams to be mindful of Jagan. I want consistency out of our guards. It's mid-February and we don't have it. BTW, I'm on record here saying that Jagan will be a great leader and four-year player at GU.

I liked that aggressiveness too. But while he actually tried a total of 3 dunks, 2 in one game then one the next game - he missed all 3 (I think he actually back-rimmed at least 2 of them, not stuffed by the rim), he may have decided to back off those attempts until he can finish them.
He has gone to the basket occasionally for layups. He needs to keep it up; if nothing else, it can draw the defense and leave a shooter open.

If this kid wants to be a part of the rotation going forward he must develop his outside shot. Next year with Waters arriving and Mulmore returning I am not certain how many minutes will be left for Mosley at the pg position.

Seems like there is an unwarranted lovefest w/Mulmore if you ask me. Sure he's got great speed but i haven't really seen him use to his advantage more than a handful of time. Jagan has shot better from the field, better from the line, better rebounder, more assists per game in almost exactly the same amount of mpg and is a better defender. Both are light years away from being elite but Mulmore is not an instant back-up next year to Waters.

I also prefer Mosley over Mulmore at this point though Mulmore is the better defender. Additionally, Mulmore has actually shot slightly better (35% overall/36% from deep) over all than Mosley (39% overall/ 27% from deep.

He played well today. He will certainly find a good amount of time next year. Does need to improve outside shot and FTs.

I am not enamored with either Jagan or Mulmore as Big East caliber starters, but Jagan is younger. If two guys are even, you play the younger guy hoping they develop.

I don't get a feeling that there is a "lovefest" for Mulmore around here. Except for that one insanely off base thread title and first post, one that received much more criticism than support, I'm not sure people are overly impressed with his skills.

There should be a bit of a lovefest for Mulmore around here. No, here's not a star and he might even be below average for a Big East starter. But he's really helped shore up the PG position, which was an epic disaster early in the season. He deserves kudos for improving / integrating by leaps and bounds since early season. We've gone from train wreck to outside shot at something because that position is only below average now.
I'm a huge Jagan fan in the long term. He plays tough D, distributes, knows the smart plays. He just needs to make more shots. I suspect he will. If he can get his turnovers down, learn to finish over bigs and hit one more 3 per 10 ... he's going to be a very good player.
Waters is going to cut into his time at PG, but if Peak sticks around, there's going to be a very nice Peak - Waters - Mosely - Mulmore rotation at the 1/2 next year.

Really liked what I saw from Mosely today. Played with much more confidence than he has before.

Mosley has had 5 turnovers in his last 10 games(191 minutes) & 23 assists..
I'd like him to further develop his mid range game, he's shown a decent floater at times..

I've been waiting all year for the NJ player of the year and captain of a 32-0 state champion to show up. Yesterday he did. Very impressed at how he ran the offense, found the open man, played defense and generally looked very comfortable running the floor. I definitely see him as the hoya point guard and team leader of the future.

I just finished watching the Marquette game on DVR. I agree that Mosely has a lot of good things, and I think he can improve a lot. In some ways, he strikes me a bit like a player like Trawick or Jason Clark, in the sense that I think he's got solid tools and will improve them over time, just as Trawick and Clark did.
Also, don't forget the Mosely can also get time at shooting guard. He doesn't have to play PG. He's just in that position this year because it's where he has been needed. Without Pryor, guard minutes will open up (even if Waters takes most of the PG minutes), so I'm confident Mosely will get plenty of time. And if Peak were to leave for Europe or try for the NBA (a mistake, in my opinion), then there'd be even more minutes out there.
