It seems that no Republicans in a leadership position can advance their agenda without invoking Obama in some (negative) fashion.

Imagine blaming your predecessor for a chemical attack performed by dictator of a foreign nation that killed woman and children. Imagine thinking that isn't beyond the pale or pathological in some way..

Lol Obama not enforcing a red-line is not the same as Trump blaming Obama for Assad gassing his own people...

No it is worse.
It is why the world had no respect for his word and why dictators like Assad and groups like ISIS flourished under his dithering watch.
If the US President does not back up limits he sets, he is lost.

Sidenote I wouldn't call being engaged in a civil war for 5 years "flourishing" but it's clear we see the world a bit differently...lol BTW in keeping with the theme of your thread and getting back to the comment you took issue with but are now trying to pivot away from. Is blaming your predecessor for a brutal foreign dictator gassing his own people sticking to Presidential norms?

Just as I took no joy from Obama's.

Obama spent 8 years blaming his predecessor for everything from a poor economy to bad weather.
Obama has yet to do anything wrong in his life, just ask him. His only flaw is that he is not effective in showing people just how wonderful he is.
Did Obama cause Assad to gas his people? Of course not. Did Obama help create the environment under which he could? Damn straight he did.

So to be clear that's a yes you're ok and think it's normal for a President to blame his predecessor for foreign dictator gassing his own people.... This thread is pure gold..

Normal? No.
If Trump wanted what was best for America he would never remind us of Obama at all.

A "Presidential Norm" excuse me...lol So to be clear that's a yes you're ok and think it doesn't violate any "Presidential norms" for a President to blame his predecessor for foreign dictator gassing his own people....

Funny little word game.
He is fine in blaming his ordecesspr's failed policies.
The fact that Assad used Obama's fecklessness as he did is Assad's work .So no it is not okay to blame Obama for the gas attack.
Happy now?

Unfortunately I'm not in HS so being seen as tough or not matters little to me my devoted friend...
When you think in those terms you come up with brilliant takes like: Obama was so weak Assad waited 70 days into the Trump presidency to drop more Sarin gas after the 2013 bombing...
My type of tough is doing what you can, despite the political hit, to help the innocent refugees on the ground there.. Throwing bombs isn't going to solve the refugee crisis, or the other problems on the ground there...

Sauce for the goose my devoted friend..: Your man was as quick to lame as any I have ever seen... Maybe it is endemic in political types... Recommended reading, a book by Andrew Bacevich if you have a passing interest in assigning "blame" for our Middle East morass: This book, Bacevich’s eighth, extends his string of brutal, bracing and essential critiques of the pernicious role of reflexive militarism in American foreign policy. As in past books, Bacevich is thought-provoking, profane and fearless. Assailing generals, journalists and foreign policy experts alike, he links together more than a dozen military interventions that span 35 years and declares them a single war. Bacevich analyzes each intervention, looking for common themes from Carter’s late 1970s missteps to Barack Obama’s widespread use of assassination by drone strike today. www.nytimes.com/2016/04/17/books/review/americas-war-for-the-greater-middle-east-by-andrew-j-bacevich.html?_r=0If you are not familiar with him, Bacevich is a retired Army Colonel and Professor of Int'l Relations at Boston University. He lost his son in Iraq. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Bacevich

The Trump Doctrine - Trash Obama for everything. Is the title of this thread backwards or what?
