The Hoyas as we know are losing, but have players on the bench that can add something to this team to win. I cannot believe these kids that work hard on and off of the court don't get a chance to play. I look at most teams in college hoops go to their bench. Even walk-ons just to get a win. Help me out on this one. I know Cameron can shoot, pass and make good decisions and he's experienced. Mourning is ready. I'm not saying he's everything but he can play multiple positions. Even Hines can flat out play. I've seen him play at Gonzaga. Play Muresan too if you have to. I was in the military and was told we all trained for this, so we all fight for this. Now, at certain phases in the game it will be hard for certain bench players to get in the game.

I don't know if i feel the same about Hines and Muresan, or at least not yet but i absolutely believe that Cameron and Mourning can help this team immediately.

Well, he can shoot, I am just not sure it will get into the basket.

We just jumped the shark on this staff with this one.

Everything is the staff's fault. By now Muresan should be ready for the NBA.

Point is no one on this team is going to fix it because it's broken. Some guy who hasn't played on that bench isn't going to fix it. Time to assess the root of what caused that.

Reggie has contributed in the past. Effort has never been a problem for this kid or Trey--which certainly cannot be said about several of the players who have played this season. His darkest shooting days still place him as a better option than the two of the posts, all of the PGs and Kaleb, all of whom are playing. He may not be "the answer" but he might be part of the solution. How much worse could he be than what we have already seen?

I agree with you for the most part, but, in terms of outright effort, I have zero problem with the way Kaleb has been playing. I would actually like to see more of him.

The only problems I've seen with Kaleb are that he defers too much on offense and still shoots FTs like he is terrified of the line. Both fixable problems.

What we do with the bench should be based on some strategy. I don't have any illusions that Trey Mourning or Reggie Cameron would turn us into winners if only they got some minutes. I am a bit puzzled that Mourning hasn't gotten some run because he did a decent job at times last year. Especially after we lost Copeland, it seems like we could use an extra body inside.
At this point, with our record, I favor doing all we can to develop the talent we will have going forward. Play Kaleb and make him shoot. Force him to develop as an offensive player. He's not a bad shooter, just way too timid. Play Moseley and let him work through his freshman struggles. He has the potential to play a big role in our backcourt. Keep running Mulmore out there when we can and have him as a valuable sixth man going forward. Plus, I would like to see if we do have anything in Mourning. Even as a five minute per game player, we can always use another inside presence.
Except for Mourning, we basically did that today. Hope to see more going forward.

I knew this was insane when you started saying "Hines can flat out play".
Hines came to Georgetown as a manager.
