From Andy Katz at ESPN.com
<<• High school seniors Keith Brumbaugh and Brandon Rush could pull a Charlie Villanueva in this draft. What's that, you ask? Go to the Chicago predraft camp (June 7-11) and – when they're unable to convince anyone that they're a first-round pick – choose a college in late June.
Villanueva went down that path two years ago and ended up at Connecticut. Rush and Brumbaugh could be decent gets in late June if both players listen to NBA personnel about their draft status. ...>>
At this point, we do have a schollie available.

I've seen the kid play, he is not worth it. All hype and no game. He is not worth it. The fact that he thinks he is NBA material with his limited game, says all about the head on his shoulders.

Rumor is he may stay in the draft as he will not be playing college next year, even if he pulls out.

Like I said before, I was told by his AD in February that he was definately bound for the NBA. Since then, he seems to have expressed interest in going to college, but until he signs a LOI I will expect him to enter the draft, as that seems to have been pretty much his only plan all along.
He is nowhere near ready for the NBA, but he is a nice talent who could get to that level with some work. In particular, he needs to add some lbs and get a better jumper.

I think that he is a good example of Kwame Brown with just a little bit of less hype. Kwame does still have a future I believe and he has flashes of brilliance but he should have went to college for 4 years and he could have been a strong NBA player to start out. But, maybe if Brandon works his butt off, then maybe he can be a good player in the NBA.

Brown had an NBA body and could put the ball on the floor for a Big Man. Brown's problem is that he not mentally-tough and he lacked the discipline to make himself a better ball player. Rush may not get a sniff of the second round of the draft. If you watch Rush actually play instead of reading his press-clippings and drooling over his last name, you will realize this kid needs to work his butt off just to be an okay college player.

Way, how many times have you watched Rush play? I'm just curious on whether you've developed these incredibly intense feelings towards certain players based on an all star game or two. Do you at least acknoweldge that other people who've seen him play many times see it differently than you?
The scouting report on Rush is that he's an incredible athlete -- not just good, but great. The knock is that he is still learning how to play. Not going to college isn't necessarily a sign that he isn't willing to work on his game - too many players to list have improved massively after skipping college and are now some of the best players in the world.
I bet he gets picked at number 40, at the latest, and is on a roster next season.

I watched others in his class, like Julian Wright, and they were impressive. And another thing, being a great athlete is just that, being a great athlete. IF that is the case, you might as well recruit a bunch of decathlon participants and teach them how to play basketball.

There is no question that Rush is a nasty athlete.
