So do we have to wait for the GU schedule to be announced to get confirmation that we are playing NM State? Does anyone have any better info on this?
Also, looking at their schedule I find it interesting that UCLA is playing a game (if you can call delaware state a game) in between the 2nd rnd of the NIT & the semi's in nyc.

Well, this makes more sense. Howland never played anyone OOC at Pitt. I don't know he'd start now.

Where did you hear rumors of New Mexico St.? Although, I think you may just be pulling our chains due to NMS less than stellar record...I've added them to the OOC table just in case...but that's the first I've heard.

Preseason NIT teams actually do this all the time. There's a a 5-7 day lull between second round and semi's, so a lot of teams schedule a cupcake in between there. Plus, making it to the semi's is not a guarantee. Too bad we aren't playing the Bruins, I would've like to see how we matched up against them. Hopefully we get that game against Ok St. I still think we need another west coast date coupled up with San Jose State...

It is actually NM not state, UCLA plays NMS in the NIT and with my half asleep typing this morning I confused the two, sorry. unfortunately, i just found that the wooden site has been updated and we are not included www.woodenclassic.com/index.htmlNM vs UW and UCLA vs Nevada is the slate. argggggh. now back to hoping for a match up with LMU!

Looks like both UCLA and UW pansied out.
New Mexico and Nevada? How transparent is that? Let's find ourselves a team that was good last year but loses their one dominant player so they'll suck early but the press won't notice!

Interesting article from Cal's website hosted on Rivals about (of all odd things) the WCC schools' incoming recruits. cal.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=417314UCONN is stopping off, en route to Hawaii, to play Pepperdine in Malibu at tiny little Firestone Fieldhouse -- deal was announced in today's L.A. papers. LMU is an option for the Hoyas to play, and SoCal ought to be a stop given the two seniors (assuming BB returns) ... but as the Rivals article mentions they've only got an Aussie "big" coming in and Tention won't really make his mark on recruiting until '06. U of San Diego has some interesting talent coming on board. (Even though it's not exactly an L.A. school.) Since USC's last-minute raids to steal other team's PSAs is probably making it hard for Tim Floyd to cobble together an ooc schedule (a "toxin" to the coaching fraternity) , maybe the Trojans are worth a look for a second Cali game.

Katz reporting that UCLA is starting a home and away with West Virginia.
As well as the news that UConn is doing a h&a with LSU.
