This probably deserves its own thread since it's getting lost in the game thread, but can one of the various recruiting gurus and sages help to identify the giant (at least 7'3") who attended the USC Upstate game? Here is a picture and the relevant clues from the game thread (as provided by practice, lancasterhoyafan, and SSHoya):  Did anyone else notice JT2 talking to a giant (7 foot 3 or more) kid during the halftime intermission? I was sitting on the other side of the Verizon Center, so I did not get a great look. The person looked like he could be anywhere between 16 and 25 from my vantage point. He towered over JT2. I couldn't find any legit giants on the recruiting board. Kid sat near me and my son. He's 17 yrs. old and claims to be Dikembe Mutombo's nephew. He's 7'5" and his dad said he will be joining Georgetown next season. Take it for what it's worth. I tried to Google him but didn't come up with anything. Please ... does anyone know anything else ... for the record, I also heard on Saturday that he was related to Dikembe. Is he local? Did he play last year? Why have we not heard of a 7'5 prospect? I was told that he had been "stashed" away ... perhaps somewhere local. Just wondering if there's been any reports of a 7'5 kid playing. I heard the same thing. JT JR gave him a big hug and the kid was sitting with George Muresan in the second half. I heard he was "only" 7' 3" but the kid was clearly taller than JT JR. Also heard that he's junior in HS so he still has room to grow. |

Asked Ron about it. He said he's offering a 30 free trial on his site, where this and much more information is available!!
He does have some tidbits on this kid but he wouldn't be happy if I gave away any info.

A 7'3 nephew of Dikembe just enrolled at Bullis. I'd guess that was him. I haven't seen him play but will try to get more info.

Who is that handsome kid in the 3 Jersey.  His father was talking with the usher in my section. Only thing I heard was that he needs some work, he's 7'5", very nice kid, and will be joining Georgetown next year. Nothing new. Sorry. I'll dig tonight if he's in attendance. |

Bullis' first HS game is on the 19th...they haven't released their 16-17 roster yet but I assume it'll be coming soon.
Also while looking for this information, I was stunned to find out that Bullis won the IAC Basketball Championship 4 years in a row from '13-'16. - IAC Alumnus

I don't know if anyone has found out anything more but I showed one of Dikembe's relatives the pic and asked if it was his nephew and he said no.
