If this is really going on, allow me to be one of the first to give props to the university for finally making the steps to get rid of the guy. I know that college basketball is not full of perfect teams, and that most coaches are hired to win, and nothing else, but between his DUI, not graduating a player for six years, and the guy with the gun, plus the other guy who got kicked out of school, maybe the alma mater of Dennis Miller has decided that enough is enough, and that it may be smart to sacrifice a few wins for fielding a team led by someone the school can be proud of.
I am hardly an Insider, and know only what I read and see on TV, but I have to think that a coach with two years left going into meetings about a buyout is most certainly on his way out the door.

It's not entirely accurate that Huggins has't graduated players. Cincinnati has not graduated many entering freshmen, but has graduated some transfers and jucos--however, those didn't count in NCAA totals. In 2002, UC had a 17% grad rate for incoming freshmen. www.ncaa.org/grad_rates/2002/d1/Rpt00140.html

Does that mean that some guys, by virtue of starting elsewhere, can actually overcome UC's own horrible track record of graduating basketball players? Sounds like the JUCOs and transfers gain a leg up by getting credits somewhere else and some are then able to graduate DESPITE attending Cincinnati afterwards!
